Curse 2

3rd pov

Theo had always known he was not completely human. Oh, sure he looks human, has feelings and thoughts and everything else like a human, but unlike them, he knows that the moment he dies is not going to be anytime soon. He could be impaled, he could be cut in half, his heart could be ripped out, but as long as the time his soul is connected to remains intact, he will continue to live and in fact, his body will rebuild itself in a matter of minutes. It's a curse, some witch with a lot of bad attitude had put it on him when he ran into her in a bad mood.

He's not immortal, he still ages and everything, but as long as chaos exists and everything, he will too. It certainly doesn't help that he is a man made creature, made from leftover chaos, that a Lord had been tampering with. The Lord died the moment the chaos - Theo - gained form, the chaos inside him being used to form a human body and let him wander around. The Lord was a low level one, but Theo inherited his crest since he is a being of chaos, and due to that, the curse is almost too effective. How can it not be, when he is made from the exact same material it is?

Of course, none of this is common knowledge, if people knew chaos could in fact, become a living, thinking breathing anything, other than the monsters it calls forth, they would panic, turn on each other and inevitably drag the war on longer. Of course, Theo plans to free the people of an island, they took care of him his entire life, since he was pretty young, one of the villagers adopting him into his family and looking after him, teaching him everything, since as a being of chaos, he did not know right from wrong. Of course, he plans to try and find this happiness people talk about as well. He does not intend to get dragged into love, or war or anything else that he does, but he's not sorry he did, especially as he makes friends and continues to live life as best he can.

Siluca is precious, dear to him, but he's incredibly glad she hasn't yet realized her chaos magic works on him, though he'll certainly tell her once the truth comes out, so she can summon him to her side in case of an emergency. (Whether it's her calling him to protect her and to save his life, they both still count.)The rest of the people he befriends, he loves them as well, though it's different from how he loves Siluca, and on top of that, he also finds himself feeling anxious, constantly, worrying over how they will react upon finding out he is not human. Chaos is what they plan on removing from the world, after all, since it causes so much destruction and mayhem, so he will definitely have to tell them at some point before his reign is over and he disappears from the world. But, how exactly do you tell your best friends, those who look up to you and want to serve under you as long as they can, as well as the love of your life, that you will disappear, never to be reborn or recreated in any way, after the chaos is destroyed? Returned? Taken.

After all, it is not of this world, so he has no reason to remain here, not once his being is denied, thus meaning he will not be part of the rebirth system that exists in this world and he knows nothing of his own world, so it'll be a new interest... he hopes. But, those are things he can deal with later, for now, he just has to get through this meeting with these Lords, who can not agree where the border of their territory ends and another begins. They've all got maps, each showing a different area marked in it, so obviously all three are vying for that piece of land in particular.

"What is so important about this part of the land, that you three would bicker over it like children?"

They all pause, a faint red appearing on their cheeks as the Lords realize that's exactly what they were doing, before the question hits them.

"Nothing. It's just a very important piece of land to my country."

"That area? Nothing sire, it's just a lake and some trees, nothing more."

"That land? Why, the only thing there are sentimental memories."

The three different answers have him interested, but he thinks he knows how to do this.
