To say Marc was angry was an understatement. He had lost the scarab. He was furious. His wife thinks he's a prick and he was working for a giant bird. Fuck me. He thought as he looked around for the Scarab.

"So, this is what it's like? Being on the inside?" Steven commented. He was currently in a mirror nearby looking at the outside world. "Yeah." Marc said.

"It's horrible." Steven commented slightly panicked. "It's all right. You're all right." Marc said trying to calm him down.

"I feel like I can scarcely move." Steven continued it suddenly felt like it was hard to breathe. "It's all right, just breathe through it. It gets easier." Marc advised him. "How long have you been doing this?" Steven wondered. "I don't know. It's... Been a long time." Marc said. Three and a half years to be exact

"I don't like it. I don't want it. Can I have my body back?" Steven asked desperate to get out. "I can't do that right now, Steven." Marc replied back. "Please. I'm taking it back." Steven said. Then he attempted to do so but failed miserably.

"Sorry." Marc said as he noticed Steven had failed. "We've always managed to keep a wall between us, but something's changed. The one who controls the body has become stronger. The reflections help, but most of the time, it'll take all your willpower just to be a fly on the wall." He explained to Steven.

"You can't do this, keeping me trapped in here. You have no right. My whole life... I can't go on a bloody date. I can barely keep a goldfish alive. I lost my job. It's been you. It's always been you, eating away at parts of my life like a parasite." Steven ranted at him.

"Look, when I am done, when I have repaid my debt, I swear to you, you will never see me or hear from me again. I promise you. We wouldn't be alive if it weren't for Khonshu. And my... servitude is the price that I pay." Marc reassured him. "

"What kind of servitude?" The kind that leaves me covered in blood." Marc told him."Yeah, well, that blood is on my hands. You ruin people's lives. Everything you touch, you ruin." Steven scolded Marc.

"You hurt people, you abandoned your wife. You left her stranded." Steven continued. "I did not. I am protecting her. You don't know what you're talking about." Marc Snapped.

"I know exactly what I'm talking about. You abandoned your pregnant wife. I bet you don't even know what your daughters name is. You left them both. Don't you feel a little guilt?" Steven said. "Left your own pregnant wife." He shook his head at Marc.

"I didnt know she was pregnant!" Marc yelled at the mirror. He closed his tightly. "I had to protect her. I Had to from Khonshu he wants her." Marc told him.

Steven shook his head. "I dont believe you." He said. "Your a liar. You hurt people. You hurt your own wife by leaving her." Steven said.

"Shut up." Marc hissed at him.

"As long as I'm here i wont let you hurt them."

"Shut your mouth."

"You dont deserve them. You dont deserve Jamila."

"Shut up, shut up."

"You dont deserve to be a father. You abandoned Luna. You abandoned your own daughter. She deserves better than you. She deserves a father who will be their for her and teach her how a man should protect her and love her." Steven said getting mad.

"Shut up, shut up, shut up." Marc repeated as he started to kick the mirror making it crack.

Steven disappeared and Khonshu appeared before Marc. "You swore he would not interfere." He told Marc.

"You promised to leave my wife out of this." Marc snapped. "You were the one who wanted the idiot to take care of her. You got your wife involved by being careless Marc." Khonshu said.

"I'll sort it out." Marc told him. "How? By pushing her away?" Khonshu chuckled it wasnt heartwarming though. It sent shivers down Marcs spine getting him all riled up again.

"I've known you and your wife in many lives. Pushing her away will just make her more curious. She will follow you to Egypt and you will let her." Khonshu told him.

"Why?" Marc asked him. "Years ago you asked me to wipe your wifes memories of you and your life together. When i asked why you told me it was your business. Well Marc Spector this is my business." Khonshu said smugly. "You promised to back up off her if i continued working for you." Marc said.

"Then make sure you keep your promise and I'll keep mine. But she will come to Egypt. That is my order." Khonshu said.

Marc sighed "when do we leave for Egypt?" He asked.

Layla had heard everything. Well everything Marc was saying. She had followed Marc and stayed in a small alleyway as she spyed on him.

She found it a little weird that Jamila did not remember her but now she realised that marc must have made a deal with Khonshu to make Jamila forget everything.

She shook her head and made her way to Jamilas apartment. They were both going to be following Marc to Egypt. If anyone had answers for Jamila it would be Marc. And if anyome could help Marc in his mission it would be Jamila.

Jamila was rebandaging her wound on her shoulder. It was getting better now but still had a throbbing pain. Now she also had back pain after being thrown onto a car.

"God i am definitely getting a massage tomorrow." She muttered to herself. "Luna honey go to sleep." Jamila pleaded with the three year old who was fully awake watching tv.

"Not tired." Luna replied. "Luna its almost one in the morning please just go to sleep." Jamila said again. But luna shook her head as she watched tv.

Just then a knock was heard and Jamila sighed and rolled her eyes. "What is it now?" She groaned as she stood up and walked to the door.

Luna chuckled as she watched her mum open the door. Layla stood on the other side of the door. "Before you say anything layla. My answer is no. I have go look for a job tomorrow okay? I cant help you with anything else I'm sorry. I'm busy." Jamila told her.

Layla huffed. "No you are not. Your going to be coming with me back home to Egypt. Besides i think your the one who needs more help than me." Layla told her.

Jamila was about to say something when layla continued speaking. "Don't you wanna know who Marc is? Don't you wanna why i knew you and Marc were together? Or what about me? Who am i? Did you ever wonder? No you didn't. This is not the Jamila i know. The Jamila i know would have not left Marc out there she would have demanded answers from him. Demanded answers from me." Layla finished.

Jamila sighed. "Fine who are you. Who is this Marc. And why is he an ass? What has all this got to do with me?" She asked.

Layla chuckled "I'll tell you everything. But first we need to book three tickets to Egypt." Layla told her.

"You're not taking no for an answer are you?" Jamila asked. "You know me so well cousin." Layla replied.
