~Today wasn't as exciting as Oikawa thought it was going to be.
He was supposed to be energized for todays games. To win everything with the girl that he loved cheering for him.
But she wasn't going to be there.
The team got off the bus once they arrived and Oikawa immediately put his earbuds in to tune everything out while he listened to music.
They weren't in for even a minute before he felt a tap. He took them out and looked at Iwaizumi, "Look, I know you're still really upset about what happened with my cousin but we need you to forget about her and everything else just for today. We need our captain and setter at the top of his game."
The captain blinked a few times before putting his earbuds back in, "I'm always at the top of my game. Don't worry about me."
They began walking as a team towards the entrance of the building. Due to the boys hearing a faint yell, they all stopped and turned around but Oikawa couldn't hear so he kept walking until he bumped into Hanamaki's shoulder.
He instantly felt annoyed and took his earbuds out, "What the hell Maki?!"
Hanamaki didn't respond. Oikawa noticed they were all turned around, looking at someone causing a confused expression to spread on his face.
"Oikawa!"
He finally turned around at the faint sound of someone calling his name and saw Y/N and her cheer squad running towards them.
Once reaching them, she dropped her poms and placed her hands on her knees, trying to catch her breath, "We aren't late right? We made it on time?"
Oikawa stared at her, eyes wide, "No. We just got here ourselves. Y/N what are you-"
He was interrupted as she grabbed his face and placed her lips on his. They stayed like that for a few seconds before she finally pulled away, his eyes still wide open.
Both of their teams were staring, in shock of what just happened. Except for Iwaizumi. She had already explained everything to him that night he walked her home.
"I'm really sorry for what I did and what I said. Can we talk after your games?" She asked, face completely red.
Oikawa did nothing except nod his head. She picked up her poms and gave him a small smile, "Okay. We're gonna go look for the first gym you're playing in so we can get good seats to watch and cheer in. Good luck."
