Chapter 12

"Busy ka ba?" Clara asked while we're talking via call. Nandito ako sa condo at nagre-review. Finals na kasi namin at maraming exams na mangyayari.

"Yep. I'm reviewing." I said while highlighting some of my noted. Damn it. Sobrang dami!

"Okay I'll hang up na. Good luck!" I said goodbye to her and continue doing my notes. Kung kasing talino lang ako ni Lucas, I don't need reviewer na.

Speaking of Lucas, alam kong hindi naman ito nagre-review ngayon. Should I invite him here? Kuya's not here naman. But I guess it'll be disrespectful for him. Hindi pa nga niya kilala si Lucas e.

I decided to just call him while I'm reviewing. Hindi naman siya nang-istorbo dahil alam niyang mahalaga sa akin ang mag-review. I'm aiming for the best para someday ay maipagmalaki rin ako... nina mommy at daddy.

"Hey. You can stop for a while. Don't burn yourself." Sabi niya ay hindi siya kuntento na kausap lang ako kaya he suggested that we do video call and we did. Kaya ngayon ay nakikita niyang stressed na ako sa ginagawa ko. Sino ba ang hindi mai-stress sa dami ng kailangan mong aralin? Pero para sa pangarap, kailangang aralin lahat.

"I stopped a while ago. Marami pa 'to." He sighed probably irritated that I'm not obeying him.

"Paano kung magkasakit ka dahil sa ginagawa mo? You're stressing yourself too much, Rei. It's bad for you health. We want us to be a social worker right? Why don't you practice being considerate to yourself first?" Now he's mad.

"Okay po lolo." I teased him but I just received a glare from him. Sungit naman! Siguro kabuwanang dalaw nito.

"Don't tease me. Naiinis ako sa'yo." Ngumuso naman ako. Hala sige magpa-cute ka, Seraphina. Gagana 'yan!

"Stop pouting. Hindi ako madadaan sa ganiyan." Mas lalo naman akong nagpa-awa.

"Damn it! If I can just hug you." I laughed. One thing I learned from him ever since we're close, he's clingy. Super clingy! I'm not a clingy person but when it comes to him, I became one.

"Just hug your phone." I joked. But he just did! What the fuck.

"You're unbelievable." I said to him but he just laughed at me. Sino ang taong yumayakap ng isang phone? Si Lucas Aiden Silva.

"I make things possible if I can, Rei." I shook my head.

"Thanks for distracting me for a while but I need to continue this."

"Go on."

"You're not hanging up?" Now he's the one who shook his head.

"Baka ma-bored ka."

"I will not. I rather see you and stay with you. Wala naman akong gagawin." Edi ikaw na!

We spent hours talking habang nagre-review ako. Tumupad siya sa sinabi niyang sasamahan niya ako kahit paminsan-minsan lang kami mag-usap sa call dahil nga nag-aaral ako. Tapos kapag sobrang tagal ko nang nag-aaral ay tsaka lang ito magsasalita para patigilin ako.

After that, nagpahinga na rin ako. Sumakit talaga ang ulo ko sa pagbabasa!

"You are what, kuya?!" Kuya arrived after kong mag-aral. At nakakagulat ang balita niya sa akin.

"Yeah." Walang ganang sagot nito.

"You'll become a CEO of our company and businesses and yet, all you can say is " yeah"? What the heck."
