I woke up the next morning with Adam's bare arms wrapped protectively around my body. The security I felt was one I had never felt before, even if it was such an insignificant action. It made me feel like I belonged in his arms, even if I did not want to be there. The stupid mate bond kept me adoring every moment of it.

Then I remembered. The date.

I slipped out of the bed, leaving Adam murmuring in his sleep. I knocked three times on Robin's door before she let me in.

"A little early, don't you think?" She yawned.

"I need your help," I replied, and she instantly opened the door wide enough for me to enter her pink room.

-------------------------

"A date?!" Robin shrieked.

"It's not that big of a deal..." I replied, suddenly shy.

"What time did he say you were going?"

"At seven, but I have no idea where." I replied.

"Well it's ten now, so we'll just grab some breakfast and start getting ready!"

"We don't have to start getting ready before like 6 o'clock." I moaned.

"Are you kidding?" She asked, "That only leaves you with an hour to get ready! You're definitely kidding."

"Whatever floats your boat." I replied, smiling innocently as she rolled her eyes.

After breakfast Robin decided I needed to take a shower.

"You stink." She stated.

"Why, thank you!" I replied, faking enthusiasm.

"Seriously though, when was the last time you showered?"

"Like six years ago."

"You filthy animal!" She giggled.

I let out a howl to prove a point.

"Shouldn't you be more like-" and she let out a hiss, imitating the sound of an angry cat. I had forgotten that she had no idea that I was part wolf. I thought my smell gave it away, but maybe the perfume Robin's been giving me to cover up my feline scent had left them all clueless.

"As long as you get my point," I muffled as I dug my mouth into the chocolate muffin that I had taken from the breakfast table.

"Gross." She said as she pushed me into the bathroom.

"Wait!" I exclaimed as she was about to slam the door and leave me alone in the bathroom. "You have to show me how to use the shower... I havn't used one in a while."

"Oh, come on... It can't be that hard." She started explaining how different handles are connected to the three different shower heads, which are each meant for different purposes.

"This one releases water softly. It's meant to relax you. This one releases water more forcefully, since it is meant to wake you up, or after a workout. This one is meant for just your body if you want a quick shower," she said pointing to the shower head that was stuck to the wall around the hight of my shoulders. "That one is not an option for you, as you will not be taking a 'quick shower' considering your stench."

"Oh stop acting like I smell like a dead rat! I'm just a little sweaty. Got that? S W E A T Y!"

"Yea, yea I know what sweat is! Just shower already," she huffed.

I let the water slip over my shoulder. Robin was right, the water did relax me. I could not remember the last time I had had a shower. I made sure to use all the right shampoos and conditioners that Robin had instructed me to use, not being used to these products myself.

I walked back out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around myself.

"Outfit time." Robin said while grinning. I couldn't help but smile myself as she lead me to her wardrobe. "What color were you thinking about wearing?"

"I was supposed to be thinking about a color?"

"Useless," Robin sighed. She stuck her arms into a rack of dresses and tugged, a bunch of colored fabrics piling in her arms. She carried the dresses dropped them onto her bed.

"I'm wearing a dress?" I asked. I didn't really feel like getting all dressed up just for Adam. I mean, he wasn't really worth it.

Okay, so maybe I did want to look good for him.

Stupid mate bond.

"What else would you wear?" She asked, an eyebrow raised.

"Sweatpants?" I suggested while grinning.

"Ha ha," she replied. "So what about pink?" She asked, holding up a small bright pink dress.

"Too girlie." I replied.

"Black?"

"Too dull."

"Yellow?"

"Too bright."

"For a girl who wanted to wear sweatpants, you sure are picky." She sighed. I stuck my tongue out at her in response. "Very mature." She rolled her eyes. "How about white?"

I thought about it for a second. "What if I dirty it?" I knew I could be a klutz when I got nervous, and I could already feel the butterflies.

"Then I'll buy a new one," she said. "Shall I call Ryan to do your makeup?"

"Who else?"

-----------------------------

The door swung open and the familiar pink hair entered the room.

"She got a daate! She got a daate!" Ryan sang as he entered, causing Robin and I to burst into giggles.

"So how did it happen?" He asked while applying some makeup.

"Well, we were arguing-"

"As usual," Ryan cut me off.

"Right. And then he said he wanted to settle things over a date."

"And the romantic award of the year goes to my brother," Robin commented while rolling her eyes.

"I really don't want to burst any bubbles," Ryan began. "But what about Sydney?"

"He said he ended things with her," I explained.

"Just like that?" He asked.

"I guess..." I muttered. "He didn't want to get her involved."

"That was his reason?" Ryan asked, causing me to shrug.

"I guess..." I repeated.

"Forget I ever said anything, it's gonna be amazing," Ryan said, forcing a smile.

After my makeup was done, and several hours of just waiting went by, there was a knock at the door.

"Ready to go?" I heard a voice call from the hallway.
