Chapter 92 - A Fresh Start

"After all A'Ying has been through, it makes sense for him to feel the way he does," Cangse stated, "it hurts a little that he doesn't even trust me or his father but how can he when we have been dead all these years."

"I think it's been made clear that Wei Wuxian wants nothing to do with me or my family," Madam Yu said, "so I would like to leave. I don't care what you guys do."

"Mother! I care!" Yanli yelled, "but I'm a Jin now, so I can stay. I am staying with my son and my husband. I don't want to just disappear out of A'Xian's life."

Wei Wuxian looked at Yanli, "it would be nice to have my shijie back," he said quietly.

Yanli looked at her Shidi and moved to sit beside him, "I will always be there for you. I'm sorry you suffered so much and felt you had to go about it alone. I don't want you to think you have to hide things from me. If I promise to learn to defend myself and cultivate again, promise me you will come to me when you need me. I don't want to disappoint you again. Seeing me walk away at Phoenix Mountain when you needed me, and then the light that dimmed in your eyes when I took that sword, I know I hurt you."

"Shijie, I forgave you long ago. I tried to make up for a lot of my mistakes by trying to keep Jin Ling alive," Wei Wuxian told her.

She giggled, "he is a bit of a danger magnet isn't he."

"And you said I'm the one who is always in trouble," Wei Wuxian teased.

"Hey!" Jin Ling said.

"Do not say 'Hey!'" Wei Wuxian spat, "the amount of times Jiang Cheng, Lan Zhan or I has had to save you I'd have to use both hands to count."

Jin Ling grumbled as he just sat there in defeat. He knew Wei Wuxian was correct on that. The amount of times Jin Ling got himself into some sort of trouble, it was always one of the three who got him out of it.

"So, I think we can meet up again in a week or so. I feel we need a break from each other to really know how everyone feels and where allegiances lie," Baoshan suggested, "plus I'm sure your sects have been missing you."

"Xichen, why don't you stay with Wangji for the time being. I can run Cloud Recesses in the meantime," Lan Qiren stated, "I'm sure he would like some help with Wuxian."

"Brother, I am back and I would love to get back to the sect," Qingheng Jun, Xichen and Wangji's father said, "I know you've been meaning to mend the rules so I'd like to get back to running the sect again...if you allow me. Let my sons rest for a bit."

"Are you sure?" Xichen asked his father and Lan Qiren.

"I am sure. I'm sorry I was never there for either of you. And I want to make things right and start fresh again. As long as your mother is at my side," Qingheng Jun said.

"Of course," Madam Lan said.

So, Wei Wuxian's parents remained at the mountain with Baoshan, and then Lan Xichen has decided to stay. Yanli would go back to the Jin Sect with Jin Zixuan and run it with him and her son, and would visit when she can. The Jiang's and the Nie's would go back to their sects. Baoshan removed the seal from the Jiang's so they could access their powers again. Wen Ruohan, Wen Ning, and Wen Qing went to Qishan to start rebuilding the Wen Sect again...properly this time. Wen Qing would make sure of that.

"If you ever harm my grandson, I will make sure none of you will ever cultivate again. Jiang Wanyin, I hope you will think about all my grandson has done for you. I know he has no interest in you anymore but maybe one day, you two can work things out. As for Yu Ziyuan, I will keep an eye on you," Baoshan stated.

"My husband and I want to help Jiang Cheng run the sect and see what we have to do to fix everything," Madam Yu said and looked at Wei Wuxian, "I appreciate everything you have done for my son and daughter. I know we are not going to really mend everything but I will respect you and enough for what you have done. I'm sorry I hurt you...I won't stop you from visiting if you ever want to stop by."
