Just wanted to say thank you to Centipede321 for helping me write this chapter!

"Where are we going?" I asked Dougie. We had been driving for what seemed like ages and he still hadn't told me where he was taking me.
"Im not telling you. You'll have to wait and see."
"Please." I begged attempting puppy dog eyes which just made him laugh.
"No! We're nearly there anyway."
Soon he pulled into a small empty car park and cut the engine. He got out of the car and stood in front of it, leaning against the bonnet. I got out of the car and joined him. I looked around. Through the darkness I could see the moon glistening off something about 50 metres away.
The sea.
"Why are we at a beach?" I asked confused
"Well I was thinking maybe I could teach you how to surf?" Dougie replied
"Really! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" This had to be the best birthday ever.
"Hang on, it's the middle of the night, in the middle of November. Won't it be a bit cold to go surfing?" I said
"Oh yeah, didn't think of that..."
"Don't worry it's the thought that counts."
"Well were here now and I brought food..."
Half an hour later we had successfully consumed the food Dougie brought. He had also brought a bottle of red wine and some wine glasses.
"Aren't we sophisticated!" I joked
"Why yes! Ice cream Miss Wolverton?" Dougie said putting on a 'posh' accent and producing some ice cream from the boot of his car.
"Yes please Mr Poynter." I said copying his 'posh' accent.
He handed me the ice cream and a spoon and we both tucked in. I must've eaten it to fast or something because I suddenly got brain freeze which made me pull a face.
"Brain freeze?" Dougie asked losing the 'posh' accent and laughing at the face I had pulled I nodded and waited for it to die down. When it did, I put down the spoon deciding that was enough ice cream for now.
I looked up to see Dougie staring at something behind me. I turned around to see what he was looking at. There was nothing behind me. Okay.... he must be staring at me then. I looked into his soft eyes and suddenly had this weird feeling inside. It was like butterfly's in my stomach. I never got this feeling with Alex apart from that first year we met. Hmmm weird. Then again I have to admit Dougie's pretty hot. The way his hair falls perfectly over his eyes and those tatoos and his dazzling smile- Wait Evie! What are you doing! You're engaged!
"What are you thinking of?" Dougie asked interupting my thoughts. That may have sounded creepy coming from someone elses mouth but from his it just sounded angelic.
I couldn't exactly say I was thinking how hot he is and how dazzling his smile is so I quickly looked around for inspiration. We were sat on a sort of sand dune so I said "How much I want to roll down this hill."
"Okay.... Come on then!" He said beginning to roll down the hill. I watched him for a second before rolling down myself. We both laughed as we rolled down which was a terrible idea as we ended up with sand in our mouths which wasn't pleasant. We stood up dazed, and I stumbled into his arms. I must have misjudged it because we both fell over onto the sand before bursting out laughing.
"You've got sand in your hair." Dougie pointed out when we'd got all the sand out of out mouths, which is alot more difficult than it seems. I shook my head like a dog when it's wet in attempt to get rid of the sand.
"Watch it!" He said shielding his eyes from the grains of sand flying out of my hair
"Oops sorry!"
We lied down on the sand and talked until we ran out of things to talk about.
I gazed at the stars. They were dotted about, randomly, in clusters. I was dazed by them, the way they seemed to twinkle. The night was cold, a light breeze rustling my hair. The sand was soft beneath me. I heard the deep, steady breaths of Dougie beside me. His hand was clasped in mine, a warm and comforting thing. The night was otherwise silent. No cars, no sirens. Just us and the stars. A distant shooting star flew across the sky. I wished that every night could be like this. Me, him and a peaceful atmosphere. But it was a stupid wish. I could never has this night again. It was a one off. But I could dream, and imagine. I squeezed his hand, and he firmly squeezed back. I sighed a deep sigh, full of emotion. The moon looked down on me, casting me in its dull light. I fell asleep, to the sound of his steady, pounding heart beat.
