 EVIE'S POV

The Concert was amazing! I can't believe I thought I wouldn't like standing, the experience was brilliant! Once we had escaped the crowds of screaming fans we slipped backstage and congratulated the boys on a fantastic concert before heading home. We watched Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows part 2 before going to bed. They left the next morning after I got back from work. It was nice to see them and catch up. Watching Harry Potter, eating pringles (mainly consumed by Kat), and having a laugh, just like old times. Shame they had to go. Oh well I'll see them the week before the wedding. Only 2 months to go! Unfortunately Alex is still away on his business trip, so I'm having to do all the planning myself. To be honest I’ve had enough of flowers and dress shopping.

Anyway I'm very exited as tonight I've been asked to present the award for Best Single alongside Dan Howell and Phil Lester (radio 1 presenters and youtubers) at the BRIT awards! I can't remember exactly who's nominated for the award but I do know McFly are in the running so that's good.

3 HOURS BEFORE THE BRITS START

I glanced at the clock. Uh oh. I'm supposed to be at the 02 arena in 1 1/2 hours. It's amazing how fast time flies by. Seems like only 5 minutes ago I logged onto my laptop (turns out it was actually 4 hours ago....) Oops. I ran up the stairs 2 at a time and thrashed open my bedroom door before retrieving my dress from my wardrobe. It was floor length and floaty and had one strap stretching across from the left of the dress to the right shoulder. It was a deep purple and had tiny detailing along the top of the dress and along the side of the straps. I quickly changed into it then curled my hair loosely and let it hang over my shoulders, fastening my fringe back with a small cream flower. I brushed some cream eye shadow across my eyelids and applied mascara and a thin line of eyeliner along with a coat of pale peach lip gloss. I strapped myself into a pair of simple black heels, rushed downstairs, and headed out the door, straight into a taxi I called earlier.

I told the driver where I was going and sat back in the seat. And..... relax. I had done it and with 5 minutes to spare. This was going to be a good night.

DOUGIE'S POV

The limo came to a halt ride outside the red carpet. "You ready boys?" Tom asked

"Yeah." We all replied, bracing ourselves for what lay ahead.

As soon as we stepped out the limo we were greeted by thousands of screaming fans behind barriers as well as millions of flashes from camera men and paparazzi. We began the short walk down the red carpet, signing autographs and posing for pictures along the way. As soon as we entered the building my eyes started searching for her. I wonder what she's wearing? Soon, I caught a glimpse of her chatting to Nick Grimshaw. She looked stunning, her long purple dress hugging her in all the right places. She looked like she'd just stepped out of a film, a bond film maybe? There's usually a scene in them where they go to a casino or something and have to dress up.

"Hey boys I’m just gonna go say hi to Evie." I told the boys.

"Oh we'll come say hi too." Harry said. We wove or way through all the people until we reached Evie. I tapped her on the shoulder and she span around before saying "Oh hello!" We all exchanged hugs and hellos. "This is Nick. I'm pretty sure you've met him before." She went on to say.

"Yeah I did an interview with them a while back." Nick said. Oh yeah I remember, nice guy he was.

"Nice to see ya again mate." Danny said

"You look ama-" I started but was cut off by Dan Howell, another radio presenter. I think he was a youtuber or something like Tom's sister Carrie. "Evie, they want to talk to us backstage about how we present the award. Oh sorry am I interrupting?"

"No not at all. Well I better go then guys, good luck!" Evie said before disappearing in the crowds of people along with Dan. We said goodbye to Nick and went to find our table."

10 minutes passed and the BRIT awards had started. An hour passed of many great singers and bands receiving awards, a round of applause filling the stadium every time. There were performances from a selection of bands and artists including Muse, who Izzy (Harry's girlfriend) was playing violin with, One Direction and Justin Timberlake.

Halfway through Emeli Sande's performance I spotted Evie sneaking off back stage along with Dan and Phil, which I assumed, meant that the award for best single would be presented soon.

When Emeli Sande finished James Cordon took to the stage "Next up we have the award for best single. To present the award please welcome Radio 1 presenters Evie Wolverton, Phil Lester and Dan Howell!" Right on que Evie walked out onto the stage, Dan and Phil either side of her, and over to the podium.

“Wow we’re nervous. We’ve never presented an award before.” Phil said into the microphone.

“Fingers crossed we don’t mess this up.” Dan said

“Okay, so the nominees for best single are…” Evie said. The video began to play on the large screen behind them of all the nominations.

“Adele, Skyfall.”

“Alex Clare, Too Close”

“Emeli Sande, Next To Me”

“Jessie J, Domino”

“McFly, Love Is Easy”

“Olly Murs featuring Flo Rider, Troublemaker”

“Rizzle Kicks, Mamma Do The Hump”

There was a round of applause for each nomination read out.

“Okay so the winner for best single is…” Dan said as Evie opened the golden envelope

It felt like forever until Evie read out “McFly, Love is Easy.” We jumped up, slapping each other on the backs, as Love is Easy began to play throughout the stadium. We walked up onto the stage, grins plastered on our faces.

Evie passed Tom the award and we all exchanged hugs with her, Dan and Phil.

“Wow, thank you! We were up against some amazing people so this is just wow. Umm just want to say thank you to Fletch our manager and all the fans for supporting us through everything. So yeah thank you!” Tom said into the microphone.

We exited the stage along with the award, Dan, Phil and Evie. “Congratulations guys!” Evie said once we got backstage. “Thanks! I can’t believe we won!” I said engulfing her in a hug. She kissed me on the cheek and I felt my cheeks go red. If only I’d noticed the paparazzi in the corner…
