Chapter 12 - The Fight

Evie's POV

Alex is home today! I can't wait to see him again. I really do hate it when he has to go on these business trips. He didn't tell me what time his flight was landing so I had no idea when he would be home. 

I was sat on the sofa watching TV when I heard a key in the lock. I switched of the TV just as the front door crashed open, almost denting the wall. Alex stormed in, suitcase in hand , and chucked it on the floor. "What is this?" He said angrily chucking a newspaper in front of me. "Oh hello Alex, how are you?" I said sarcastically picking up the newspaper.

After the astonishing outcome of the BRIT awards, we find out some shocking secrets concealed.

The BRIT awards, hosted by James Cordon, on wednesday was a great hit! With the likes of Emeli Sande and One Direction all winning awards.  McFly, Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Harry Judd, Dougie Poynter, were nominated for Best Single. Dougie, 25,  has recently been keeping a relatively low profile, doing a few interviews here and there and generally keeping of the paperatzi's radar.The awards flew by quickly, with winner after winner, until finally it was time to announce the winner of Best Single. The award was presented by well known Radio One presenters, Phil Lester, Dan Howell and Evie Wolverton. McFly were up against some good contestants.  Of course, McFly won, and they went up to the stage, to receive their award. Phil, Dan and Evie congratulated them.

However, it seems Evie and Dougie were more personal that at first suspected, as, seen below, backstage, Evie hugged and kissed Dougie in celebration, not kissing anyone else of McFly. Furthermore, it was noticed that Miss Wolverton had an engamnet ring on, that looked expensive, and Poynter isn’t exactly poor. This has raised much conspiracy, as rumors soar around about Poynter & Wolverton.  

Beside the article was a photo of me kissing Dougie on the cheek. However, the photo had been taking at an angle so it looked like I was kissing him on the lips. Uh-oh. So now everyones thinking i'm engaged to Dougie. This wasn't good. 

"Alex, I swear I never kissed him on the lips." I said to Alex

"Well that's not what that picture looks like." He snarled back

"I only kissed him on the cheek! The photo's been taken at an angle so it looks like i'm kissed him on the lips!"

"Even if it was his cheek, which I highly doubt it was, you can't go around kissing other men!" 

"For gods sake Alex, he's my friend! I can kiss friends on the cheek! I've seen you do it to your female friends!"

"That's different! I go away for one week and your throwing yourself all over him!" Alex shouted gestering to the newspaper

"I wasn't throwing myself over him!"

"You clearly were!"

"No I wasn't! Your being completly unreasonable!"

"I'm being unreasonable? I'm being unreasonable!"

This wasn't the first time we'd had a fight. They always ended the same; Alex always getting his own way. Some might say I was a bit of a pushover but it was time that changed. I ran upstairs ignoring the shouts from Alex and pushed open our bedroom door. I grabbed an overnight bag from the top of the wardrobe and chucked it onto the bed. I began to shove a few clothes, some toiletries, a bit of make-up and other stuff into the bag. 

"What are you doing?!" Alex questioned crashing into the room

"I've had enough!" I replied. I zipped up the bag, shoving it over my shoulder, and ran back down the stairs. I grabbed my handbag, keys, phone and coat and opened the front door. A wave of cold air hit me as I headed out onto the pavement. 

"Where do you think you're going!" Alex shouted after me. I just ignored him and kept on walking. Where to, I dont know.

A/N - Soooooooo Evie and Alex are going through a rocky patch.... What do you guys think of Alex? Do you like him? I wonder where Evie will go....... any guesses?
