You wake up to a loud gasp.

Still half asleep you ask "what's the matter?"

Tsunade: "Take a look at this! The matter is of utmost importance. My master needs to have a talk with you."

Y/N: "What happened?! Can I read the letter?"

Tsunade hands it to you and your eyes widen.

"Dear Tsunade and Y/N Senju,
I have to ask you of a huge favor. I apologize in advance but our village has no other option. Y/N has to have an arranged marriage with the clan's head's oldest son in order to form an alliance. Our Village is in danger. The Uchiha are very well capable of getting the nine tailed fox under their grasp. As your Hokage but also as your Sensei I ask you of this.

You just stare at the letter in shock for a few minutes. The free life you and your mother have worked for is now destroyed.

Of course you can just not go to the village but from what you know Konoha as you know it today will no longer be.
All the bloodshed it will cause. In all of this your life is just one small sacrifice for the lives of hundreds.

Tsunade:"Honey I am so sorry. And I will stand by your own choice. You have all right to want to continue this life. You have barely even been in the village. Just know I will love you no matter what you choose."

Y/N:"Thank you so much mom but I have already chosen. My life isn't even important considering the whole thing. I will still see you right?"

Tears start to form in your eyes. In response Tsunade just gives you a hug and tells you everything is going to be okay. But it doesn't help that she's also crying.

After you both had a mental breakdown you call Shizune who was buying food and tell her everything.

She's like your older sister so she just starts crying. You comfort her even though you want to join her.

After leaving the guesthouse you make way to Konoha.

In Konoha

You arrive at nightfall. The gates aren't as huge as you remembered. Probably because you got older. (16. him too.)

Two shinobi are on guard duty but clearly not doing it good since they're asleep.

Tsunade has had a worried, angry and considerate face the entire trip. She walks over to the Shinobi slacking off and scares the heck out of them. This was the first time you smiled today.

After a few minutes you arrive at the Hokage office. It's as beautiful as always. You may have been here already but today it seems much more important.

You'd probably be exhausted from the trip if you weren't so nervous. I mean dozens of lives are at stake.

Tsunade knocks on the door. A quiet "come in" and you open the door. The third hokage is sitting there behind a desk going through some scrolls which you believe are related to the current problem.

Sarutobi:"Tsunade! We don't have much time to respond I will make it quick. This is the information about your soon to be son-in-law."

He gives the scroll in his hands to your mom.

Tsunade:"I've heard of him. He is the most talented young boy his age. But hiruzen I still have to talk to you. Explain what is going on and what has happened in these last years!"

And so he begins:"The clans are not always in the same interest. For about four years we know of them trying to overthrow the village but every time we have been able to keep peace up until now. The Uchiha are said to have a bigger plan. Danzo and the others believe that we should have them all slaughtered but I believe that we can form a pact since there are many innocent among the Uchiha."

A moment of silence. You know your mother will rage at him so you step in.

Y/N:"If i understood it correctly we are still not sure wether they will accept this pact or not. What do you have for them to do as we wish?"

Sarutobi:"A very important question indeed. Well we now know what they are planning to do so it won't be surprise attack. We can use that to our advantage. A scroll including that this is their only option or we attack aswell should do the job. Oh and we have another card up our sleeves. Your soon to be husband is on our side."

Shocked faces are the only thing visible to the third hokage at the moment.

You catch yourself again:"This plan seems worth a try. I accept it. But do the other elders too?"

As soon as you say that three figures walk up to you behind the shadows. Danzo and two other who were unknown to you. But you assume that they're the elders.

Tsunade:"You're all some cheeky foxes! I am only doing this because of my daughter you should thank her I won't squash you!"

She gives danzo a death stare you guess he must be the most dangerous one.

Suddenly you feel a presence. Jiraiya!
You run in his direction and give him a hug. He has always been like a father to you.

Jiraiya:"Hey Y/N how have you been? I guess things have taken an interesting turn."
He says the last part in a sarcastic but quiet tone.

Danzo:"everything is taken care of. Tomorrow we will wait for their response. But remember Tsunade. If anything happens we won't hesitate to attack even if they take your daughter -hostage-"

You can feel your mother get sick with anger. But you grab her fist and help her calm down.

After finding a place to stay for the night you just can't sleep. You look around and can't find Tsunade. Figure she's also unable to rest. You open the window for some fresh air and the sight of moonlight.

"I am too young to get married. My life will become so much harder. I will barely see my mom." You think out loud since you know that he- will be here to watch.

You can't sleep so you get a chair and sit in the balcony. And think about the scroll with your future partners name.

Thirst is the only thing you feel at the moment. Everything's numb. You get yourself a cup of water and just think hours without end.

"Itachi was it? I don't like this but I'd love to see the Sharingan."

"An anbu member... I wonder if he was the person who sold out his family's plan. Can we trust that he is on the hokage's side?"
