Everyone was passed out in the basement. Mia and Jamie were on one of the couches while Nancy and Amy were on the other, Pietro was on the table, Robin was on a bunch on pillows while Dustin and Steve were on the floor
Jamie was the first to wake up with hearing muffles on the radio "Dustin" eddies voice shot through "Dustin"
Jamie shot up and grabbed the walkie talkie "hey it's Jamie"
"Oh Hopper hey! Um, I'm gonna need a food delivery" he mumbled "like, really soon, unless you want me going out into the world."
"No no no no. Don't do that" Jamie sighed "just stay where you are and we'll be there as soon as we can." She tried to keep calm
"Yeah, listen um... can you pick me up a six pack ? I know it's stupid as shit drinking right now, but a cold beer would really calm my jangled nerves." He tried to convince her
Jamie looked to see Max gone from her chair "hey I'll call you right back" she dropped the walkie talkie and got to Dustin, she was hitting his shoulder
He woke up "what ?"
"Aren't you supposed to be on Max watch" she pointed to her chair
"Yep yep I am"
"Where is she ?"
"I swear I just dozed off"
They ran up the stairs. Mrs Wheeler and Ted were there "morning Jamie !" She said in a chirpy smile
Jamie looked and saw Max at the table "morning"
"I think it's so sweet that you are sticking together like this" Mrs Wheeler said putting food on a plate
"Could try sticking together at a different house for a change." Ted said sarcastically
"Thanks Ted" Jamie said walking over to Max. She was drawing and had her headphones in playing 'running up that hill' as soon as she saw Jamie she turned it off
"Hey" she said taking the headphones off
"Hey" Jamie smiled "you okay ?"
"Just couldn't sleep" Max played with her hands "people kept blasting music in my ears, for some reason." She chuckled "but Holly let me borrow some of her crayons." She looked down at the drawings "we've been having a fun morning right Holly ?" She looked at Holly who was on the computer. She just gave a mhm
Jamie looked at the drawings, mostly in red "is this what you saw last night ?"
"I mean it's supposed to be. I thought it'd be easier to draw it out than to explain it, but... not so much" she tilted her head
"Is that" she could see figures of Chrissy and Fred
"It was like they were on display" Max said in disgust "and then there was red fog everywhere. Kind of like the things that shoot out of your hands. It was like a dream... a nightmare"
