Val is walking aimlessly like a zombie.

Darth grabs his arm and forces him into a car. Val is occupying co-pilot seat.

Ross acts as a driver. He has learned driving from Jessie. He has mastered it few weeks back.

They found this intact car parked in front of a broken store.

Darth is sitting in the back with the Omegas.

One of them looks like your girl next door, sweet and friendly type. The other one is a bit older. Like your big sister with awesome boobs.

Darth completely ignores them. He glances at Val.

The temporary mark's effects has diminished yesterday. The stupid Omega still couldn't let go of his grief.

Darth complaints, "It has been three days. When are you going to forget him?"

Val glares dagger at him.

Darth smirks. It's the first time the Omega shows another expression in his face. Not the dead fish face anymore.

Val covers his face with his hands.

I can't stop thinking of him. Jerome wasn't a book character anymore. He had flesh and blood. He's...

Val is going to weep again.

Darth presses a hand on his nape and Val got unconscious.

Ross asks, "What did you do?"

"Knock him out. He kept weeping like a watering can. I can't stand it."

"Darth. Val loved Jerome. That's the truth."

"The punk died. He should move on."

Ross curses like a veteran pirate.

Darth is simply heartless.

Ross mocks, "Jerome had many friends. Unlike you. If you died, no one would mourn for you."

"Probably. I'm not very lovable. Guys like me is cursed to live until old age."

The Omegas are afraid of Darth. They don't dare to make any noise.

Darth has threatened to cut their vocal cords if they screamed again.

After many detours, they finally arrive at the base again.

Darth ignores everyone and carries Val back to his room. Ross follows them. To make sure Darth doesn't take advantage of him.

After Darth leaves, Ross covers Val with a blanket. He goes out to meet other teammates.

Jessie looks around but couldn't see Jerome. She only sees two strangers coming back with them.

She asks, "Jerome?"

Ross shakes his head.

He confesses, "He didn't make it. I... I failed to protect him..."
