The week went by too slowly for my liking but finally it was Friday and I didn't have to be in that dump of a school on Saturday. I had a love hate relationship with school, mostly love but the hate was there.

I threw on my clothes after stepping out of the locker room shower then headed for my first class of the day. I had English after track and badminton practice every Monday and Friday. I also had a love confusion relationship with English, 80% love and 20% confusion.

When I got to class I walked over to my assigned seat and noticed immediately that Aiyanna wasn't there yet. "She probably got caught up with practice." I mumbled to myself.

Did I mention I had a love hate relationship with these school chairs?? I loved that they were too hard so I couldn't possibly fall asleep during class under such uncomfortable circumstances but on the other hand they were too damn hard!

I have a love hate relationship with almost everything, deal with it.

The classroom door swung open and the ginger haired girl stood in the doorway for a second till our eyes met and a small but contagious smile formed on her lips and before I knew it I had mirrored her.

"Stalking me?" I asked as she walked up to our table.

"We've talked about this princess. No one is stalking you."

Princess

"Well you should start."

"Why stalk you when we already happen to always be at the same place at the same time?"

"True."

Before the conversation could go any further Mrs Kate came into the room and cleared her throat.

"Class will be short today since I'm just here to give you an assignment. But don't think about it as an assignment think about it as a fun little project to do with your partner."

She looked at us for confirmation before continuing. " I want you guys to write about any famous poem writer of your choice. You don't have to relate to them but I'd prefer you did. That's all."

I turned to Aiyanna and she turned to me at the same time and in unison we said "Sappho"

"She's my favorite poet." Aiya said.

"Well she's mine so find another one."

"No one could measure up to her."

"For once I don't have the pressing urge to argue with you because you're very right.

We sat in silence for a while before she said something. "You're gay?"

"I'm under the umbrella."

"Bi?"

"Yeah. You?"

"I'm very gay." She said laughing and I joined her quickly.

"I knew."
