"It's my father." She started.
"What happened to him?"
"He's back."
What are the odds? We spoke about him a while ago and now he was here.
"What does he want."
"I don't know princess but I know it's going to get ugly so I'm going to have to take you home. I'm really sorry."
"It's fine."
I leaned in to capture her lips in a slow reassuring kiss. She didn't respond at first probably surprised but immediately she got over the initial shock her lips began to move in sync with mine.
She pulled away and the heavy tension that hung in the air initially was no where to be found.
I walked behind her as she led me out of the house.
We were walking past the living room when I heard Keith shout something I couldn't hear properly so I looked in his direction and when I did I wished I could un look.
In that moment I wished my eyes were computers with control buttons where I could undo and pretend it never happened or in this case pretend I never saw.
My legs stopped in their tracks and I couldn't move again even if I wanted to, my eyes went still and my body went numb.
I could hear someone talking to me but it was almost like I was falling into a dark hole and they were shouting my name yet it sounded like they were whispering.
The ringing in my ears was getting louder and unbearable, my breathing became raged and before I knew what was happening my vision began to blur.
"r-" I started trying to get out the words but they weren't budging.
I tried again but harder this time.
"ra-rap" The word was at the tip of my tongue yet still stuck in my throat.
"rapist!." I managed to finally get out after my last attempt.
I felt hands on my back and it was almost like that was the sign my body needed to finally collapse. My head started spinning and my vision began spotting however before I could decipher what was going on everything went pitch black.
