It was my first night back on the boardwalk since three weeks ago when my older brother Micheal had made me go with him to follow some chick around. Tonight I had once again followed him out of the house and back to the bright lights and salty air. What I didn't realize was that my whore of a brother, had plans to get all- "cool". I knew what was going on the second he bought that stupid leather jacket. My brother, the self proclaimed "ladies man", was trying to copy those thugs that stole his dream girl. I would have laughed at him if it wasn't so pathetic that it was sad. Instead, I chased him around and watched him make poor financial decisions... I mean, seriously, Mike?. Thirty five dollars for a leather jacket? Come.ON.

Much to my surprise Micheal spotted his dream girl, I hardly caught her name.. Star maybe?. She didn't have the kid with her today, it was just her.

He was far away for only a moment when an offensively harsh hand grabbed my hip. It caused my everything to stiffen, eyes wide and finding my attacker. A large bald man who was so sun burnt I was sure he would have a melanoma before he was fourty. My brows furrowed as he attempted to smolder me? whatever the hell his face was. "Hey, beautiful" oh God his voice made me feel icky... Creep. I roughly shoved his hand away from me, "Seventeen" was all I said before booking it. Running right into my brother, who was trying to put the moves on that 'Star" girl.

The collision drew a "oompf" out of my older brother. Michael looked me over, as if looking for any possible injuries. "What's wrong Y/N?" he asked me in a concerned tone, clearly trying to act nonchalant In front of the girl.  I shook my head. "There was this- icky MAN.. who was trying to holler at me" I explained, saying it as if this was simply THEE worst possible thing that could ever happen. Micheal and Star chuckled "Sweetie", she began in a gentle tone. "He probably thought that you are cute". My face flushed when she addressed me and I looked down. "Star, this is Y/N my sister, she has social anxiety and is probably terrified of you". He laughed "I'm am not terrified.. I just don't know what to say" I looked at her eyes for a second. She smiled "that's alright, we've all been there" a small smile formed on my lips.

Mike looked between us, "well uh.. Me and Star are probably gonna go get some food. Will you be okay here?". I sighed and nodded, I didn't mean it... but I also wasn't going to cock block my brother. "Sweet. See ya later, Sis" Micheal cheered, I smiled but it did not reach my eyes. This was an uncomfortable situation where I had to be cool for the sake of not ruining my brother's night. But before I even had time to walk away, four bikes closed us in. The four riders were punk bikers. Those same four thugs from two weeks ago.. oh joy.

Immediately I backed against the railing to get away from them. One of the bikers who was in all black glared at Mike. His piercing blue eyes are cold and unforgiving, his spiked mullet added to his intimidating demeanor. And worst of all was the look on his face. "Where you goin' Star?" His voice is meant to scare, coming out cold and calculated. His tone was icy, like his glare, she looked at him nervously. I could see the fear and anxiety in her eyes and it made me sad for her. Finally she opened her mouth, "for a ride. This is Michael" Mike gently took her arm as he walked towards his bike "lets go".

Mike had made his voice a little deeper to show dominance over the other male. Star stepped towards the bike but was stopped with one simple word. "Star" the blonde called, his tone alone said thousands of words, he knows every secret she has and then some. Star is clearly scared of him.. and I see why. Her shoes clicked against the old wood of the boardwalk as she walked towards the man.

My heart twisted and I felt this odd sensation like.. Well.. I can only describe it as a tug. Passing it off as anxiety, I tried to look away from the mysterious blue eyes that glared at my brother. Despite the fact that I was looking down.. I just knew he was looking at me. 'Geez' I thought, I must have looked so odd standing there with my head down and my lip between my thumb and index finger.
