Sprig rolled a watermelon while Anne prepared a scythe.

"Hey, batter, batter, batter, batter," Anne chanted, swinging the scaly weapon along the ground.

Sprig climbed to the top of the hill, barely keeping his balance, before finally tumbling and throwing the watermelon.

Anne swung, missing the watermelon and watching it explode. She didn't notice she also flung the scythe, and when she did, she gasped. "SPRIG! Y/N!"

Sprig noticed just in time and ducked, the scythe splitting his hat. Y/N wasn't so lucky, and it sliced off a small chunk of her bangs.

"FUCKING SHIT ANNE WATCH IT!" She hollered, glaring at the brunette. "YOU NEARLY TOOK MY HEAD OFF!"

"SORRY!" Anne called.

Sprig turned around. "Wanna go again?"

"YEAH-UH!" Anne cheered.

"Maybe this time they won't attempt to murder me," Y/N scoffed, pulling up her hood and continuing to sketch her surroundings. It was a hobby she'd picked up while at Amphibia. She smiled at the detailed portrait of the cloud above her.

"Hey, sorry about your hat," Anne said. "Oh there it is!" She rushed towards the scythe, about to pull it out of the tree when she heard a faint meow.

"Hey, you found-" Sprig began.

Anne shushed him. "Do you hear that?" Another meow sounded. "Something's in trouble!"

"Anne don't-" Y/N paused as she saw Anne and Sprig dart through the bushes. "For frog's sake." She rolled her eyes and sprinted after them.

Giant hornets was threatening a furry black and white creature that was stuck in the mud.

"Oh my gosh!" Anne cried. "We have to save her!"

Sprig nodded and followed her. Y/N snorted, but ran after them.

Anne pulled the fuzzy creature out of the mud, eyes widening when the hornets stabbed right next to her. "Oop, gotta go."

The hornets tried to chase after her, but were interrupted by rocks and a boomerang hitting them in the face.

Y/N caught her boomerang, glaring at Sprig, who was taunting them. "Don't antagonize those things!"

Anne rushed past them. "Let's go!"

"Sprig out!" Sprig hollered, leaping into the bushes. Y/N ran after him.

Anne held the furry creature. "Your safe now little fella-" she cut herself off and squealed.

"What's wrong?" Sprig hopped down from a tree. "Are you stung? We'll have to amputate."

"No," Anne reassured, stopping Sprig from slicing her open. "This caterpillar looks exactly like my kitty Domino from back home."

"That is enough reason to get rid of it," Y/N scoffed. "Domino hates me and this doppleganger will too."

"I love my cat more than anything in the world!" Anne gushed. "She was irreplaceable."

"You've literally just replaced her," Y/N deadpanned.

"But now I've found a replacement!" Anne cheered. "Let's take her back home with us!"

"Ehh, I dunno Anne," Sprig said. "That's a wild animal. I'm not sure bringing it home is a good idea."

"Pssh, that's ridiculous," Anne scoffed. "My cat back home was a stray before I adopted her! All it takes is love, and patience."
