The twins

Luna awoke to the feeling of some moving about beside her. Slowly she grumbled as she went to stretch out.

"Ow."

Sitting up she saw she had somewhat kicked Ace.

"My bad." She mumbled as the pair sat up straight and attempted to stretch out.

"I don't think my body was designed to sleep like that." She groaned as she attempted to twist her back.

"Agreed." Ace groaned as he tried to stretch his arms.  "Next time we sleep in a bed like a normal couple."

Luna nodded as she attempted to stand up before realising what Ace had said.

Turning and looking down she saw him still trying to stretch out, clearly completely oblivious to what he had said.

"I'll take you home so you can get changed and that." He mumbled as he stood up.

Luna nodded slowly.

"Then we can do whatever you want."

She turned back to him blankly. "Say what?"

"Well presumably something near one of our ex's. Thought that was the idea of this?" He asked.

Luna nodded quickly, "yeah course." She mumbled quickly as he began to walk to the door.

"Gimme 10 minutes?" He asked as he waved his hand towards the kitchen. "You can get a drink or whatever."

Luna nodded again as Ace disappeared and she heard him heading upstairs.

Sighing she ran a hand through her hair as she sat back down on the sofa. Ace had just made a slip up, that's all it was, a simple little slip up.

Quickly she jumped up and went into the kitchen. Finding a glass on the side she poured herself a quick glass of water and downed it. This would be easy, it was just normal. Luna sighed, why was she overthinking this?!

"Ready?"

Ace's voice snapped her from her trance as she turned and nodded at him. The pair shared a quick smile before Ace led the way out.

"You can come inside if you want?" Luna offered as he turned the car off, having just pulled up outside hers. "Mum and dad will be at work and there's just the nanny with the twins."

Ace hesitated, wanting to say no but found himself nodding anyway. She gave him a smile as they both got out the car and she led the way up.

She let him in as his mouth dropped slightly at the size of her house.

"Who's that?"

Luna turned as she saw her younger brother staring up at Ace.

"Aiden this is Ace, Ace this is-" she stopped as her younger sister appeared by Aiden. "Aiden and Ava, the twins."

Ace nodded slowly beside her as he looked down at the 6 year olds as they stared up at him.

"Be nice please, I just need to go shower and change. Where's Fiona?" She looked between them.

The twins shrugged in sync. "She left."

Ace slunk backwards slightly as their voices came out in sync.

"She left?" Luna coughed out. "What do you mean she left?"

Aiden shrugged as Ava looked about. "She said she had to go so she left."

Luna was stunned into silence. "Okay I'm going to shower and get changed then call mum. Be nice both of you." She waved her finger between the two as she quickly rushed upstairs.
