Luna lay flat on her back on her bed, having just heard her parents return from wherever she felt she could relax. She hated sleeping when they weren't home in case either of the twins needed her.

Yet as she went to turn her light off she heard a small tapping at her window. Slowly and cautiously she walked over and looked out.

Sighing slightly, she opened her window and half leant out.

"What are you doing here Merrill?" She sighed out as she looked down at him.

"I need to talk to you. Can you come out?" He asked up at her.

Luna sighed and stared down at him. "Oh I don't know if my boyfriend Eyeball will like that." She replied sarcastically down at him.

"Okay I know you're joking but that really fucking hurts." Ace snapped back at her.

"So does getting into a fight with your best friend after they accuse you of betraying them when they don't let you explain." She replied, keeping the same sarcastic tone as she knew felt protective over Eyeball.

Ace sighed. "Okay so he told you about the fight."

"Well you weren't going to." She snapped back.

Ace sighed again as he looked up at her. "Look can we talk or not?"

"Talk to Eyeball first and then I'll think about it."

Ace stared up at her blankly. "Seriously?!"

Luna shrugged and nodded. "Goodnight Ace."

Ace was about to protest but she went back into her room and shut the window and the curtains.

"Well now I know where the twins get it." He grumbled to himself as he stormed back over to his car.

"Oi Eyeball..." Ace mumbled as he sat down on Eyeball's bed, gently smacking Eyeball's face.

"Wake up you lazy shit." He grumbled as he smacked him a little harder.

Eyeball groaned and grumbled as he tried to swat away Ace's hand.

Slowly he opened his eyes and saw Ace as he instantly shuffled back and looked around.

"Ace?!" He snapped. "What the fuck are you doing here?!"

Ace had jumped off the bed after Eyeball's sudden movements as he looked down at him.

"Came to talk to you."

Eyeball sighed as he looked around. "Dude, it's like-" he paused as he scrambled over the side of his bed to look at his clock.

"It's 2:45 in the fucking morning Merrill. I'm not in the mood for another-"

"I don't wanna fight." Ace interrupted.

Eyeball stared at him. "So what do you want?"

"I told you, I wanna talk."

Eyeball sighed as he sat back down on the bed. "Don't you ever fucking sleep?" He groaned out as he rested his head in his hands, letting his fingers run through his hair.

"I can't sleep." Ace grumbled as he sat down next to Eyeball.

"So go fuck the dragon bitch and sleep." Eyeball grumbled, not caring he'd get a whack for calling Betsy the dragon bitch.

"I can't do it." Ace finally spoke instead of smacking Eyeball.

He looked up at Ace confused. "What do you mean you can't do it?"

"I can't fuck her." Ace spoke quietly. "I tried but every time we went to, I made up an excuse. I even pretended to be asleep one night."

Eyeball tried not to laugh. "Isn't that what girls do when they don't want sex?"

Ace nodded. "Where'd you think I got the idea from?"

Eyeball sighed. "So why can't you do it?"

"Take a fucking guess." Ace grumbled slightly.

"Oh so you've got the hots for my girlfriend now?" Eyeball asked him sarcastically.

Ace didn't reply as he turned and glared at him. "You two might find it fucking funny but I don't you know?"

"Well funnily enough, I didn't find it fucking funny either when you actually thought I'd do that." Eyeball tried not to snap.

"Look Betsy got into my head, told me there was a rumour that the only reason she got with me was to get closer to you."

Eyeball scoffed. "She wasn't even technically with you, you both "faked" the whole thing." He used his fingers to create quote marks as he said the word faked, knowing full well there was nothing fake about the two of them together.

"I know that asshole, it just got in my head because I knew you thought she was hot."

Eyeball shrugged. "I think a lot of girls are hot, doesn't mean I'm gonna do anything about it. Especially if she's with you, that shit just ain't right."

Ace nodded slowly as he leant forward and ran a hand through his hair. "I know, I just got stuck in my own head."

"You got feelings for the girl, that shit happens."

"I don't have feelings for Betsy."

Eyeball laughed. "I wasn't talking about Betsy."

Ace sighed as he ran his hands down his face and sat up straighter.

"Ditch the dragon bitch." Eyeball mumbled. "She ain't right for you."

"Oh but your girlfriend is?" Ace asked sarcastically.

Eyeball laughed and nodded. "My girlfriend's hot as shit."

Ace tried not to laugh as he nodded in agreement.

"Honestly I'm surprised you don't go to her tonight." Eyeball mumbled as he looked over at Ace and realised.

"You did go to her didn't you?"

Ace nodded slowly.

"What happened?" Eyeball asked quietly, knowing it couldn't have gone well if Ace was here and not with her.

"She told me I had to talk to you first before she would consider talking to me."

Eyeball tried not to laugh. "She's too good to me that girl."

Ace just turned and glared at him as Eyeball laughed and leant back against the wall on his bed.

"Look whether you believe me or not I'm gonna tell you what happened." Eyeball started as he stopped laughing.

"When Betsy sent you up to the bar, she told me that Luna had only got with you to get closer to me. She made me chug my drink and yours and told me to go get her. I did."

Ace sat there in silence as he listened to Eyeball.

"I knew if Luna stayed in that bar either Betsy would start on her or she would keep filling my drinks and judging from my dad, I knew I had to get Luna out of there."

"I knew I wouldn't have forced anything with her but with the way Betsy was giving me whiskey I didn't want to risk it. I don't trust myself. So I took her outside and told her to take my car keys and go."

"I wasn't about to let Betsy keep giving me alcohol and telling me to go for it because you know me, you know I would have. I wouldn't have cared about making a move but funnily enough I did."

"That's why I took her outside, that's why I pushed myself off her after realising I'd pinned her to the car and had a hold of her wrists. That's why I told her to take the keys and go."

"I didn't betray you Ace. I never will." Eyeball finished as he looked over at Ace sat at the end of his bed.
