"We're definitely doing this again!" Connie said happily as the four left the diner, hand in hand with their respected partner. "Please keep her Ace!"

Luna forced a laugh and nodded. "Yeah we'll definitely do this again." She mumbled as Billy and Connie turned to walk off in the opposite direction.

Luna and Ace slowly looked at each other as Connie and Billy turned a corner. Their hands slowly separated as Luna sighed.

"I should probably get home." She mumbled as she awkwardly smacked her hands against her sides.

"Need a-"

Luna shook her head, interrupting his question. "I'll walk it don't worry."

"You sure? I don't-"

Luna shook her head again as she began walking away. "Don't worry about it. I'll um- catch you tomorrow or something." She mumbled as she gave him a final nod before turning and quickly trying to walk away.

Ace nodded slowly as he let out a sigh and watched her walking away. Huffing to himself he turned in the opposite direction and began walking away.

Luna lay awake flat out on her bed. The rest of her house was fast asleep, the twins had already asked her when they could see Ace again.

Yet she sat up when she heard a small tapping at her window, she reached over and turned on the small lamp on her bedside table and getting up she cautiously walked over to the window just as it tapped again.

Opening it up she leant out and saw Ace standing down there.

"Ace it's the middle of the night." Luna tried to quietly shout. "What the hell are you doing here?"

Ace didn't reply as he came closer to the wall. Luna watched as he began to climb the trellis that went up her wall. She moved aside as he climbed in through her window.

"Or just climb up the wall and into my room, that's a good answer too." She mumbled sarcastically as he straightened up and faced her.

"Well?" She looked at him expectantly.

"Can't a guy want to see his fake girlfriend?" He tried to laugh out.

Luna tried to laugh quietly as she shook her head. "Not in the middle of the night Merrill!" She reached out and smacked him before walking back over to the bed and sitting down.

"Now what do you want?" She huffed out as she looked up at him.

Ace shrugged slightly as he slowly walked over and sat beside her. "Got bored at home." He mumbled quietly.

"You didn't wanna climb into Betsy's window then?" Luna tried to laugh out.

"Moonshine I think-"

"I mean we can kinda end this now right? Our plan worked great." Luna interrupted him happily. "Betsy clearly wants you back and has seen you're a good guy and Theodore clearly wants to change for me."

Ace was silent as he nodded slowly. "You don't think we should do it for a little longer?" He finally asked quietly.

"Did you think we need to?" Luna asked.

Ace nodded almost instantly as Luna leant back slightly.

"Just to really make sure they get the message." Ace quickly blurted out.

Luna nodded slowly. "Okay so let's say till the end of the week."

"Sunday?" Ace questioned. "That's like the day after tomorrow."

"So?" Luna tried to force a laugh. "I thought that was the idea of this?" She asked, forcing another laugh.

Ace nodded slowly. "Okay so we fake break up our fake relationship the day after tomorrow."

Luna took a deep breath and nodded. "The day after tomorrow."

"Okay."

"Okay." She repeated as she saw him continue to remain seated on her bed. "Did you want anything else?"

Ace looked up at her slowly. Her face was lit up by the warmth from her bedside lamp and the moonlight outside as he thought over her question. Did he want anything else?

"Why don't you read me one of your poems?" He finally managed to say.

"One of my poems?" She laughed out slightly. "Why would you want to hear one of them?"

Ace shrugged as he leant back against the board where her feet usually went.

"Tell me one."

Luna stared at him in amazement. Theodore never wanted to hear any of her poems or stories. Yet she found herself reaching into the drawer of her bedside table and pulling out the little red notebook she wrote them in as she shuffled back on the bed.

Ace let himself get more comfortable as she offered him a pillow to rest against, kicking off his shoes so he could get more settled. Luna leant against the headboard as she opened up the book and saw how ready he was. (A/N poem not mine, I just thought it was more beautiful than I could do)

I hate that I love you so
I hate that I have you in my heart

Coz then you will find it broken

Luna slowly looked up at Ace as he continued to stare at her.

"Well?" She asked nervously.

Ace gave her a small nod. "I love it. Theodore's gonna be a lucky guy." He mumbled.

Luna was silent, she knew she hadn't wrote that with Theodore in mind.

"Hey you should write one about me." Ace laughed out.

Luna forced a laugh and nodded. "Don't tempt me Merrill."

Ace nodded as he rested his hands behind his head. "Do it. I wanna hear that one. Okay gimme another one."

"You wanna hear another?"

Ace nodded again as he shuffled down slightly on the bed. "I wanna hear them all."

Luna laughed as she looked back down at the book, flicking through the pages.

"Better be as good as that last one though." Ace spoke firmly as he couldn't wipe the smile from his face.

Luna laughed again. "Anything for the fake boyfriend."

Ace gave her a nod. "Till the day after tomorrow." He sighed silently as Luna silently did the same.
