Moonshine?

Ace followed the directions her hands made as she held up her fingers, pointing which way to go.

Until eventually she reached out and turned down the music, as she pointed up at a big house.

Ace quickly pulled up outside it as he turned the car off.

"I got an idea." He blurted out before she could even thank him for the lift.

Luna laughed. "An idea? Why does that worry me?"

Ace smirked and shook his head. "It's not worrying. It's a good one trust me."

Luna shuffled away from him slightly as she glanced up at the house, just to make sure none of her family were awake, before turning back to Ace.

"Date me." Ace fired out as he turned his whole body to face her.

Luna coughed and instantly shuffled back.

"I didn't mean like really date me." Ace quickly fired out, sensing her nerves instantly rise. "Like fake it."

She continued to stare at him blankly before her face changed.

If she fake dated Ace then it would make Betsy jealous enough to come back to him and it would make Theodore jealous enough to change his behaviour and come back to her.

"You get it don't you?" Ace asked quietly, he could tell by her expression that she knew why it would work.

Luna nodded slowly.

"It would get both of us what we want." Ace finished as he sat up straighter.

"Yeah but we'd be lying to everyone."

Ace shrugged slightly. "Ain't no-one gonna get hurt."

"I'm not sure..." Luna mumbled, she knew she was interested but unconvinced. "Plus all of Theodore's mates will be pissed if I date you."

Ace shrugged. "I can handle them. But surely that's why we should. Think about it, he's gonna see that out of everyone you could have, you chose me, someone way out of your league, it's gonna drive them all crazy."

"I only want to-"

"Yeah make him jealous but this will make them all fight him and get him to change to get you back and away from me."

Luna was silent for a second.

"How long have you been planning this?" She asked quietly with a laugh.

Ace shrugged. "Does it matter? It will work I promise."

Luna was still hesitant. "And what about my family?" She looked back over at the house.

Ace shook his head. "Don't tell them. Or if you have to just say you're dating someone new and leave it at that."

"They always meet the guy though." Luna tried to explain.

Ace thought for a second. "Okay so just tell them you're not sure if it's serious yet so you don't want them to meet me till you're sure you want to carry on."

Luna opened her mouth to speak but slowly shut it again. Ace smiled at her.

"Well?" He offered. "Win win for both of us."

"And no-one's gonna get hurt?" Luna asked quietly.

Ace shook his head. "How can someone get hurt? It's foolproof. I get Betsy back after she goes nuts seeing you and you get a faithful boyfriend desperate to behave for fear you going back to the cobras?"

Luna was silent.

"Let's fake it Moonshine."

She laughed. "Moonshine?"

Ace nodded with a smirk. "The deadly alcohol drink that gets you hooked after one sip and completely fucks you up."

A small smile came to her face. "Okay."

Ace's smile grew. "Okay?"

Luna nodded. "Just till they come crawling back."

Ace nodded. "That's the idea of this doll. They come crawling back and we part ways pleasantly."

"With a gentle handshake?" Luna asked as she held her hand up.

Ace laughed but gently took her hand in his as they gently shook hands.

"What are you doing tomorrow?"

Luna shrugged as they released their hands. "I was supposed to be going to the races with Theodore but-"

"Come." He interrupted. "I'm racing."

Luna looked up at him. "You're the cobra racing him?"

Ace nodded slowly as he couldn't hold back the laugh.

"This is fucking perfect!"

Luna laughed slightly as she nodded. "Well I'll meet you there."

As she moved to go to the car door she felt Ace's hand reach out and hold onto her wrist, causing her to turn back to him.

"I'll pick you up at 11am."

"Ace I'm meant to be going with my girlfriends." She tried to explain.

Ace shook his head. "Now you're going with your boyfriend."

Luna couldn't help but smile. "This is gonna be an interesting ride."

Ace nodded as she saw that smirk again. "See you at 11."

"See you at 11." She gave him a small smile as he released her arm.

Luna climbed out the car and jogged over to her front door, unlocking it she stepped inside. Turning back she saw Ace waiting till she was inside. He gently blew her a kiss as he laughed.

Luna laughed and blew one back as he drove off, letting her shut the door.

She quietly snuck up the stairs, passing her parent's room, passing her younger sister and brother's rooms.

Quickly going into hers she gently shut the door and got ready for bed.

She began flicking through her clothes, looking for something special for tomorrow.

What would make Theodore more annoyed than anything?

She pulled out the red dress he had brought her, perfect. She gently lay it down over the chair on her vanity table before climbing into bed.

Luna had just finished her braid as she heard a car horn outside.

Standing up she went over to the window as she saw the familiar car parked there, Ace in the front seat.

Ace caught her eye as he gave her a small smile, she held up two fingers up to him as he nodded.

Quickly going over to her bed she sat down so she could slip her shoes on.

"Why is there a guy outside?"

She looked up and saw her younger brother stood in the doorway.

"Because I've got a date." Luna quickly replied as she grabbed her bag.

"Mum's watching him from the living room." Her brother quickly said as Luna left her room.

"Why am I not surprised?" She mumbled as she raced downstairs.

She heard her mother's shouts but ignored them as she ran out to the car.

Ace had already got out and was holding her door open as she smiled at him.

"Ready girlfriend?" He said with his smirk, letting her get in the car.

"Ready boyfriend." She laughed out as he went around to his side of the car and got back in.
