Luna stared at him in silence.

"So just go enjoy your breakfast date. I'll wait till you've gone before I go." Ace mumbled as he gestured to the door.

Luna hesitated but nodded as she slowly walked over to her bedroom door. Giving him one last look she quietly walked out and headed downstairs to say goodbye to Fiona and the twins.

"I thought you wanted me to spend time with the twins?" Theodore asked as he finally pulled away from her house and began the drive back to Castle Rock.

"I did, just baby steps..." Luna mumbled as she kept her attention out the window.

"Wait, wasn't that-" Theodore quickly spun his head around before going back to focus on the road.

"What?"

Theodore shook his head. He hadn't just seen Ace's car parked up had he? Surely not. They broke up.

"So hey this feels like old times." Theodore said with a smile, once they'd ordered, as he reached across the table to take Luna's hands in his own.

She nodded and forced a smile as she looked up at him.

"So is there anywhere you fancied going later?" He asked with the same smile, "like after breakfast?"

Luna paused as she shrugged.

"Well we can go wherever you wanted."

Ace let out a big sigh as he finally stumbled back into his own home, kicking off his shoes he walked straight into the living room and crashed down face first into the sofa, letting out a muffled groan.

"You'Ll be right back huh?"

He forced his head up as he saw Betsy walk in and sit on the table next to him. Ace could only grumble as she sighed.

"What happened? I called Irbys and you weren't there."

"I was with Eyeball." Ace lied out as he moved his face back into the sofa.

Betsy looked down at him. What she hadn't told Ace was that when she rang Irbys, she spoke to Eyeball directly. He hadn't been with Ace.

"Are we okay?" She asked quietly, not wanting to know the answer.

Ace nodded into the sofa.

"Like are we a thing again?"

Ace shrugged, keeping his face buried into the sofa cushion.

"Ace please talk to me..." Betsy begged.

Ace turned his face to look at her. "What do you want me to say?"

"Tell me you love me..." she whispered.

Ace sighed as he pushed himself up and sat opposite her.

"Tell me you want to be with me and where you actually were last night."

"I told you I was with-"

"I spoke to Eyeball Ace." She cut him off, "he was at the bar. You weren't." She sighed as she looked up at him.

"Just once Ace, be honest with me. Either you're in or you're out."

Ace was silent. Luna was going off with Theodore, she was happy to be back with him.

"I'm in." He mumbled.

Betsy smiled at him softly as she leant in to kiss him.
