tengen followed you into the main room, watching you as you admired his home. "this is really nice tengen." you say. "thank you." he replies, "now about that art lesson." you nod, following Tengen up a set of stairs.

rearchingthe second floor, you're greeted by a humongous art room. the entire floor is covered with different art supplies. im your eyes, this was like a dream come true.

"holy sh*t!" you squeal. you walk further into the room and set your purse down on an open chair. You rummage through every shelf. "we're focusing on clay, [y/l/n]." tengen chuckles.

you straighten your composure as embarrassment creeping through your body. "i'm sorry." you quickly sigh. tengen chuckles once again before walking past you. he opens a little fridge filled with plastic bags.

"we'll practice using small chunks of clay." he says. you nod as you watch him prep his stand. he sets the clay down on a wooden slab under a warm golden light. he pulls his hair back into a low bun before patting a chair next to him.

"alright, let's see what you've got." he slaps the clay before pushing the slab over to you. you poke around at the clay before squishing it around. "i need some water. for the clay of course." you say. tengen removes himself from his seat and walks over to a sink opposite of your chairs. the tap runs for a moment before shutting off.

"a cup of water." tengen says, placing the cup near your hand. you dip your fingers into the cup and began to mold. you weren't sure what you were going for though. "what are you doing?" tengen questioned. "not sure." you shrug.

"let me see." tengen reaches across and slides the wooden slab in front of himself. he smooths the clay back out before dipping his hands in the water. your eyes slide from his hands to his face as it's tightened into pure concentration.

the sculpture is already turning into a head. he takes a scraper and begins to carve slight features into the face. "are you serious.." you laugh.

"one-hundred percent." tengen says, still carving. "who the hell carves a sculpture of themselves." you sigh. "i do. i'm beautiful." .

you can tell by his tone that he's actually serious. this makes you laugh even more. "i bet gyutaro wouldn't be able to do this." Tengen grumbles. your laughter immediately halts. "what?" "youheard me, [y/n]."

"what are you trying to say then?" you question. "i'm better then gyutaro." tengen scoffed. you fall silent. tengen stops his sculpting and turn to face you.

"tell you what, [y/n]." he started. "i want you to pick. i'll give you two months to choose who you'd rather be with." "are you insane?" you remark. "no." tengen replies.

you remain silent once again. this was absurd. having to choose between tengen as well as gyutaro was something you never thought you'd have to do.

"may the best man win." tengen says. "fine." you get up from your chair, grabbing your purse. tengen follows you as you make your way back downstairs. "i'll see you then." tengen smiles. you nod before exiting his house.

the fact he seemed so nonchalant about the whole ordeal made you feel funny. what would happen if you picked gyutaro? what would happen if you picked tengen? your mind was soon clouded with endless questions.

"f*ck." you sighed as you pulled into the main road. you had no idea how you were going to get this to work. you wanted them both.  this decision could change your entire life. but as tengen said, may the best man win.
