the clock slowly dragged on to 4 o'clock. you were sitting at your living room table, trying to figure out what to do for your art project. professor tengen had assigned a still life portrait of anything.

he said that he first wanted to see what we were all capable of. you tapped your pencil against the side of your head to try and motive some ideas. sucking in a deep breath, you sit the pencil down on the table. taking out your phone, you look for things to do in your area. this work required too much thinking that you didn't have at the moment.

"oh!" you hum to yourself, seeing a nearby coffee shop. coffee shops were always a good go to. the atmosphere was always nice and a hot cup of tea didn't sound bad. your grab your purse from off of the kitchen counter. locking your door behind you, you began the walk to the shop.

it was only maybe a ten minute walk away from the apartment you currently resided in. the warm air brushed against your cheeks as you continued on your walk.

getting a good scape of wisteria city, you realized how much you actually liked spring. fresh wisteria trees blossomed along the sides of the streets. people walking along the sidewalks talking to friends or even just strolling with a good book made you feel a little more lively.

before long, you stood in front of the butterfly cafe, located next to the park. the building was white with purple streaks along the sides. the doors resembled a butterfly flapping it's wings whenever someone entered or exited.

opening the door for yourself, you looked around the cute cafe. there were little origami butterflies strung up on the ceiling. painted along the walls were various flowers as well as other insects.

"hi! would you like to order?" a sweet voice called out. you turn your attention to the front counter, where a smaller girl smiles back at you. her hair was pulled into a side ponytail. her purple eyes scanned your face.

"hi yeah uhm, can i have a moment?" you question. she nods, turning around checking the stock. you look through the menu, trying to decide what you wanted. "doma... tea?" you question aloud.

"oh that's a good one! it's the prettiest drink drink we have. but shinobu doesn't like it very much." she replies." how come?" you ask. "well, i don't know. she hates it a lot. i don't like it very much myself either. and our older sister, kanae , absolutely hates it. but somehow it's our best seller."

you furrow your eyebrows at her explanation.
"i want to try it then!" you exclaim. the girl smiles, nodding. "it's gonna be $2.76." she says.

you dig around in your purse for the exact change as she looks around the front counter. "kanao ! help kanae in the back. she messed up the tea again." someone yelled. a girl who seemed a little older came from behind the door further away from the counter.

"shinobu i always have to help her!" kanao cried. "beats me. i don't want to make it." she shrugged. she turns her attention towards you as kanao walked through the back door. "hey! you!" she said called.

her hair was wrapped around her face, the ends dyed a dark purple. she had large purple eyes just like kanao.

"hm?" you hummed.

"where are you from? you don't seem like your from wisteria city."

"oh uhm actually, i'm from mount. kujikasane. it's more in the country." you reply.

"hm. i'm shinobu."

"i'm [y/n]!" You smile. "i like you, [y/n]. do you go to school around here?" she interrogates.

"yeah actually! i go to natagumo college."

"hey sweet! have you met professor giyuu ??" she questions. you try to recall the name but you can't quite put your finger on a face.

"no, i don't think so." you reply. her face turns a slight shade of pink as she looks away. "how come?" you wriggle your eyebrows at her. She giggles a little before hoping up on the counter.
"between you and i," she looks around to make sure no one is around. "i have a little crush on him." she giggles.

"shinobu get off the damn counter." a voice hisses. a girl with much longer hair than the other two came from behind her. her eyes were a much lighter purple, but sparkled immensely.
"i'm sorry for your wait, here's your tea." she smiled.

you almost felt as if you were in a trance looking at her. she was astonishing."t-thank you." you say, taking the tea cup from her. "aoi, kiyo, sumi and naho are in the back cleaning. they said they'll close tonight so i'm going home." kanae turns to tell shinobu .

shinobu nods, walking her sister out of the door. "hey [y/n], before i forget, can i have your number?" shinobu asks.

you smile, feeling happy to acquired yet another new friend. "yeah sure!" you smile, handing her your phone. she taps around the screen a few times before handing your phone back to you. "i'll catch you tomorrow!" shinobu calls as she walks back behind the counter to the back door.

you nod, looking down into your tea cup. the colors swirled together like a messy pastel rainbow. you hurry to down the tea so you could begin your walk home. it was sickly sweet but somehow had such a bitter after-taste.

the flavors complimented each other so well, you were confused on how they made it work. although it seemed to be a pipping hot cup too, it was rather cold. you had never tasted something so good.

it was already past 7:30 PM and you still had a fifteen minute walk ahead. talking with shinobu really made you lose your concept of time. grabbin your keys off the table and calling goodbye, you step out on to the sidewalk to begin your mini adventure home.
