I got back home and walked in the front door to see Two Bit sitting on the couch watching Mickey Mouse. I flopped down next to him and laid my legs across his lap.
"Sup Ki." He patted my knee.
"Nothing, just coming home from the DX." I turned to watch the episode and started dozing off. I woke up when I felt Two But getting up.
"Sorry. I was tryin not to wake you. Imma head over to the Curtis' is you wanna come." I looked over at the clock and saw that it was just past 6. I jumped off the couch, knowing I had to start getting ready soon if I was going to be ready by 7:30.
"I gotta get ready. Sodas picking me up in an hour." I said, heading towards the bathroom.
"Wait wait wait. What do you mean Sodas picking you up? Like for a date?" He followed me to the bathroom and leaned against the doorframe. I started to fix my hair since it got messed up while I was sleeping.
"It's not a date, we're just going to the drive in to watch a movie."
"That sounds like a date to me. Why didn't you tell me?"
"Well I fell asleep almost as soon as I got home and it's not that important. I'm just going out with a friend." I blinked my eyes while I put some mascara on. I didn't wear much makeup but I did like to wear mascara at times.
"You promise?" He raised his eyebrows.
"I promise. What's your deal anyways? Would it be that bad if I was going on a date?" I put the mascara down and turned to face him, crossing my arms and leaning my back against the counter.
"Yes. Yes it would be that bad because I'm your brother and I'm supposed to protect you." He was starting to get mad, I could tell.
"Even if I was going with one of your friends? One that you know wouldn't hurt me in any way? It would be bad even then?"
"Yes Kiera even then! I know Sodapop's a good guy but I don't want you gettin hurt. I just got you back, I can't lose you again." I could tell he was frustrated but there was some sadness in there too. His eyes were getting glossy and I knew he was on the verge of tears, not that he would ever cry in front of me. I gave in and wrapped my arms around his shoulders. He wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his head into my neck. I could feel my sleeve getting damp from the silent tears but I didn't say anything. Just ran my hands up and down his back.
"You're not going to lose me ok. I promise. No matter what happens, no matter what boys I date, you'll always be my #1 ok?" He didn't say anything, just nodded his head on my shoulder. He straightened up and wiped his tears before playfully punching my shoulder.
"Really making me go soft here aren't you Ki?"
"You did that yourself big boy." I poked him in the chest and gave him a smirk before pushing past him to my room. He laughed before following me, leaning against the doorframe again.
"I'm about to change so I'd suggest you stop following me everywhere I go." I raised my eyebrows.
"Alright, alright. I'm leaving. Just promise me you'll be safe-" I cut him off.
"Oh my god no. I do not need to have this talk with you. No." I started trying to push him out of my room. Repeating the word "no" over and over again.
"That's not what I was trying to tell you just. Don't get into trouble. Keep that blade you stole on you and make sure you're home before midnight otherwise I'll skin both of you. Ya hear?"
"Yes. I hear. Now get out of my room." I pushed him out and closed the door, getting changed into a pair of white flare jeans and a blue button up shirt, I left the top few buttons undone and tucked it into my pants. I put on a black belt and my converse before moving to put some jewelry on. Two bit had gotten me some new things because I didn't have much from my old house.
I sat on the couch, watching more Mickey Mouse when I heard a knock at the door. I turned the TV off and smoothed out my hair in the mirror before rushing to open it, seeing Soda standing there in a flannel and jeans. I will admit, he looked hot but I couldn't think like that. This wasn't a date, I had assured Two Bit of that. We headed to his car and drove off towards the drive in.

Kind of a shorter chapter but at least y'all got some sibling moments between Two Bit and Kiera. Plus, the start of some romance between Ki and Soda ;).
Im more motivated now to write so expect chapters to be coming out more frequently now! Enjoy!!
