So, it was true, everything that he told her was true. He was a wolf? He was an... Alpha? And she was his mate? It still wasn't making sense to her. It couldn't possibly be true.

"Alex," she whispered to him.

"Mmm." she nudged his side and he growled at her. "What?" he asked.

"Wake up. I have questions."

He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He felt his wolf stirring. She's here. He told Alex.

I know. I can sense her too.

Wake her wolf up.

He looked at Melody. Her hair was snow white. He jumped out of the bed. He touched her hair.

"White Wolf Clan," he whispered. He shrugged his shoulders. "Kinda sexy." he pulled her to him.

She pushed him away from her. "Wait." she said, holding her hands up. "I want answers."

He held his hands up. "What would you like to know?"

"Well," she took a beat. "I need to call JoAnn. I can't go to work today." she grabbed her phone and made a phone call to JoAnn, she didn't answer. She left a voicemail.

"Okay," she looked at Alex. "Why is my hair white?"

"I don't know. That is new. But my father would probably know more."

"Where is my wolf?"

"Asleep. You have to wake her."

"How do I wake my wolf?"

"Ahh," he thought. "It's been a while since I woke mine. But he just kinda woke up on his own."

"So I don't like, talk to myself. She'll just wake up?"

"Yes,"

She walked around her room trying to think of ways that would possibly wake her wolf. She still couldn't think about what happened last night. She never saw this as a way to celebrate her twenty-first birthday. She thought she would go out and get drunk. She thought she would go out and have fun. She thought she would do anything but try to wake her wolf.

"You're taking this pretty well."

"I mean, why not?" she threw her hands up. "My life has been, well, shitty. So why not add something weird like this, you know? It's not always sunshine and flowers in my world." she began freaking out some.

"Hey, hey, hey. It's okay." he pulled her to him. "It's going to be okay."

"I know, I just didn't think this was even real. I thought I was going crazy when I kept having all those dreams."

"Dreams?" He pushed her shoulders back. "What dreams?"

"Oh, I've been having dreams about a battle. I've been having dreams about running through the forest. I've been dreaming about war and just random things like that."

"Dreams?" he repeated. "Are you sure they're dreams or are they previous memories?"

She shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know."

"That's okay." he assured her. "Do you want to go back to sleep or talk some more?" he asked.

"Questions, please."

"Okay, shoot."

"What do I do now?"

He didn't expect that question. "What do you mean?"

"Now that I'm a wolf what do I do?"

"I need to tell you something." He sat down on the bed. "When your wolf awakens she will sense your mate. Me. And it might get a little- uhh, hectic I guess you could say."
