"Now?" Lily asked.

"What about the ceremony?" Trey asked.

"We will just have to push it back. This is something that has to be done now." Melody told them. "I'm hoping to get some answers because she is supposed to be dead. And if she is alive then maybe his grandfather is too. We can't take that risk."

"We can't have you gone when you just got home." Lily pleaded.

"You knew this would happen at some point. We have to be able to go between all three packs. And we are just leaving a little earlier."

"She will be okay." Alex told them.

"She will be with both of us and she will be with a lot of guards. She is always with someone." she rolled her eyes at Ethan.

"But-" her father stooped.

"But what?" Melody asked.

"It's Ethan's pack. It's the-"

"It's my pack too. They won't hurt me. They have changed so much. They aren't aggressive. But for now I have to go. I don't have time to argue about this."

"We will be back." Ethan assured them.

"It might be a couple of days but we will be back." Alex told them.

The three of them walked out the door and to the end of the path where Alex and Ethan transformed and Melody rode on Alex. Once they were halfway there they had to stop. Staying in wolf form they sat down. They had been running for forty five minutes. They were much faster in this form than driving.

I think this is going to be a very interesting conversation. Alex told them through the mind link.

I'm worried about what it's going to be.

Same. Ethan nodded his giant wolf head.

I think we need to go in with an open mind. We don't know what it's going to be about. It could be about missing you. We just need to be calm when we walk in and see her.

I know but this is my Gran. She is supposed to be dead. I don't know what's going on. Because you said it yourself. Mel. If she's alive then so could my grandfather. I don't understand.

I know my love. We can do this together. Melody rubbed his head. She gave his ear a tug and a kiss.

I guess the only way to find out what's going on is to get going. Alex suggested.

Melody on top of Ethan this time and held on tight as they ran home. She was worried for Ethan and what this conversation was going to hold but she was going to be strong for her men. Both Alex and Ethan walked in the house as a wolf and changed once they were inside.

Ethan stopped just outside the door and looked back at his mate. He grabbed her in for a kiss before he took a deep breath. He turned the door knob and pushed it open. He saw a small woman sitting at the table. Her hair was gray and cut short to her head. She looked as though she might have weighed eighty pounds soaking wet. She turned her head when she heard the door open.

"Ethan!" She stood up and walked to give him a hug.

"Gran?" he questioned. He pulled her back a little by her shoulders to get a good look at her. She still had those strong bones and bright blue eyes. Yeah, she really was his Gran. "Gran." he laughed then hugged her tighter.

"Oh Ethan, there's so much to tell you. It's just so crazy but first I want to meet your mate." she pushed past Ethan but stopped when she saw that Alex was standing in front of Melody.
