Melody went back home after a few days and was told to rest and to take it easy. Something she didn't know how to do. It was nearly impossible for her to stay still. But she couldn't get anything done anyway the way Ethan and Alex hovered over her all the time.
Melody wanted to get out of the bed and go somewhere. Anywhere. She didn't want to be in bed like she was some vegetable. She could move. She could leave if she wanted. However, there were warriors everywhere she went. She just wanted to go and do something.
She wanted to see her people. She wanted to talk to the omegas. She wanted to be out of the room she had been stuck in.
She walked to the bedroom door and cracked it open.
"Jay, could you possibly go get one of my sisters? I really need to speak to someone besides myself."
"But I am not to leave my post."
"Just go. I'll be fine."
"Luna-"
"Go. Now. Before I lose my shit."
"Yes Luna," he walked off quickly.
The hall was clear.
The hall... was clear!
There isn't anyone there.
This was her chance to leave the room. She looked down the hall one more time and left the room. Her heart was racing. She tried to stay as quiet as possible. She walked down the steps and kept going. She was so close to the door when she heard someone walking in the room beside her.
She didn't want to stop and listen to what they had to say. She wanted to get out and feel the sun on her face. She walked out the house and saw that everything was going on like it should be. Some people saw Melody and stopped what they were doing and bowed down in front of her.
"Oh, you don't have to do that." she told them.
"How have you been Luna?" an omega asked her.
"Stuck. The Alphas stuck me in the room and I felt like I was a prisoner."
"Oh, they should be ashamed of themselves."
"Right?!" Mel laughed. "They should have to stay in the room for two weeks and see how they like it."
"They are something else aren't they?" another omega joked.
"I hope all has been well with you."
"Oh yes Luna." They both answered her.
"Is there anything that has been neglected while I've been locked away?"
"No Luna. Everything has been fine. Everything was running smoothly."
"Good, I guess my husband's know how to take care of everything without me."
"They are doing okay, there was that one-" one omega started. The other nudged her elbow into her side. "Ofph."
"What happened?" Mel asked.
"Oh, nothing, she doesn't know what she was talking about." A side glance was given.
"What happened?" Mel asked again.
"Well, there was-"
"Melody!" She heard her name from behind her. She knew that voice, well their voices. Everyone in the yard stopped what they were doing and began bowing from the authority in the voice.
Melody simply turned around with her hands on her hips. "Yes, Alphas."
"What are you doing out of bed?" Alex asked her.
