The Mate

Chapter Thirty One

Alex looked back at Melody and watched her chest rise and fall slowly. He knew she was asleep. He tapped Ethan on the arm then pointed to Melody.

"Her thoughts are scattered. Bad."

"Yeah," Ethan looked back in the mirror then turned his eyes back to the road. "I don't think she even realized that she was channeling us. Not just mindlinking but she was channeling out energy as well."

"I felt that." Alex nodded his head. "She's too nervous. I don't think this is a good idea." he looked out the window. "I know this is what she has been wanting and all but I don't know if she is ready for this."

"This is what she wants. I don't know why she feels the need to go so fast but she wants this."

"And we will give her whatever it is that she wants." Alex looked back again. "I just hope she finds everything she is looking for. We can't do anything but be here for her. And figure out what the hell to do about building a new pack house for all three of our packs."

"Oh yeah." Ethan chuckled. "That was a shock to both of our packs. I don't think they were expecting the two biggest rival clans to come together."

"Oh no. No one would have seen that coming. I mean it was difficult at first but I think once we both showed that she is the Luna and we are the Alphas to both clans it seemed to clear the air."

"It cleared it for some, at least for now it has." Ethan shrugged. "But I don't know how adding a third clan will work."

"I guess that's something that we will have to find out today. It depends on who all was left. And how many people are still there. I mean, it's still kinda- I don't know. It's a lot to think about."

"Yes it is, which is my point. I think this is too fast."

"You know just as well as I do, this is something that she will not let go of until she gets what she wants."

"She's so damn hard headed. I don't understand why she has to be so difficult. Sometimes it would be nice to have a Luna that was submissive."

"Then what fun would she be?" Alex laughed at Ethan. "Sometimes I like when she is dominant. The way she can boss us around. She's so small yet she has no problem bossing two Alphas around."

"And the fact that we let her is even crazier."

"Sexually she has up wrapped around her finger."

"Sexually? Damn, it's everything we do."

"But sexually is when I like it the most." Alex told him. "But she has good idea's and good leadership skills."

"And a damn good mouth." Ethan laughed with Alex.

"You ain't lying about that. That mouth- damn that mouth of hers." Alex could feel his erection coming.

"She's such a strong person. I mean she has no problem taking both of us. At the same time."

"She is seriously the most breathtaking person I have ever met. She has such beauty and grace that you wouldn't think that she is really a human. She's the most amazing person ever."

"She does have a good heart. She's too nice sometimes and she's so loving with everyone. When the clans mixed she had no problem loving each one as her own."

"Well, they were her own. The moment that you two marked each other. I felt it too. Our clans have been united for more than two months."

"I'm just glad that we were able to get past our differences to come together."
