Melody hadn't registered what John just told her. She shook her head. Her ears were ringing.
Two months.
It had been two months since they decided to join the packs.
Two months.
It had been two months since they started looking.
Two months.
It had been two months since they started packing.
Two months.
It had been the fastest two months.
Two months.
It had been the longest two months.
Two months.
Two months.
Two.
Months.
She couldn't believe what John told her.
"So," she started. She wanted to say something but she couldn't seem to get any words out. "Wait." she shook her head.
"If you need to think about it then we-"
"No," she raised her hands. "I think- I could think- this is good. We have more information. I just didn't think it would be this." She stood up to walk around and think better. "I think this is good. This is good right?" She looked at her mates to confirm her question.
"Yes my love." Alex confirmed for her.
"I think this is probably the best news we've gotten in two months." Ethan nodded her head.
"Yep." She sat back down, then stood up quickly. "Wait. Say that one more time John. Because I want to make sure that I am hearing you right. Where is it located?"
"The middle of the two packs. Right where I suspected it was."
"So, if we can-"
"Is this what you want?" Alex asked her before she said anything else.
She didn't answer him but he knew what she was going to say. This was something that she had been dreaming of for a long time now. Much longer than two months. Ethan laughed, this wasn't something he thought she would have to think about.
"I don't get what's taking so long." Ethan almost exploded. "This is something that you've been wanting to do for so long. And you're having to think about it? This is the best thing to happen in a long two months. Alex and I have been out there taking turns so one of us can be here for you and you can't think about it."
"Ethan," Alex warned.
"No," Ethan replied. "We've been out in the heat of the day and night looking for information for our mate and now we've given her information that she wanted and we have confirmed what my pack has been tracking for the past five years. We all have been trying to find this information since the war."
"Maybe if your clan didn't attack them." Alex growled.
"It wasn't under my-"
"Wait, your family attacked my clan?" Melody growled deeply looking at Ethan. "Your clan killed my family?!" she yelled at him.
"Wait Mel-"
"Don't Mel, me."
"It wasn't under my reign."
"Then whose?"
He ran his hands through his hair. "My grandfather."
"What?" everyone in the room asked.
