So I feel really unmotivated to write a real chapter right now, even though I have 2 unfinished drafts. I'm trying get them out as fast as possible. So while you wait for those, I did this because I honestly stan John Mulaney. It's really short sorry. Also thanks for the recent support on this story!! Now anyways I'll stop rambling and here is your chapter:

Time period: present
Hamilton age: 6
Lafayette age: 6
Jefferson age: 6
Washington age: 48
Context: if you guys know John Mulaney (he's a comedian) then you probably know his "I was over on the bench" thing. It reminds me of Hamilton so much.

Third person narrative:

Lafayette walked to the dinner table because he's like 6, so he has to. After his brother, Alexander, and his parents, George and Martha Washington sat down, conversation began.  "How was school today?" George asked. Lafayette thought about today's kindergarten shenanigans. After a minute, he replied.  "It was good, but Thomas Jefferson pushed Alex  off the seesaw!" Alexander nodded to confirm it.  Washington looked disappointed, which to Lafayette was a new look.  "And where were you?" he asked. Now Lafayette was scared to answer.  "I was over on the bench." He finally said with confidence.  "Hm. And what did you do?" Lafayette hid his guilt and replied.  "Nothing, I was over on the bench." Washington looked more disappointed than ever.  "But you saw what happened?" "Y-yeah, cause I was over on the bench." Now Lafayette knew a scolding was coming.  "So... You saw what happened, and you did nothing?" Lafayette gulped. "Yeah, cause I was sitting over on the bench."  Washington sighed. "Lemme asked you this. In Nazi Germany..." oh no, he brought this into the conversation. I'm dead now. Lafayette thought. "When people saw what the Nazis were doing and they did nothing, were those good people?"  "oh, no those were bad people, you gotta stop the Nazis!"  "But you saw what they were doing to Alex, and you did nothing!" Washington never raises his voice, not at Lafayette at least. Well, I'm gonna do it right back then. Lafayette thought.  "Cause I was over on the bench!" His tiny voice yelled. Suddenly Martha walked in. "I made a salad with craysins!"  She suddenly noticed the awkward tension between her husband and son.  "Is everything okay?"  "I'll explain later. Lafayette, do not yell at me." Lafayette looked down and quietly apologized.

A/N: I put an extra John Mulaney reference with Martha, if you caught that. This is just how I would see this all going down.

I'm sorry I haven't uploaded too much, I'm seriously lacking in motivation and haven't been to therapy in a few weeks so my mind is just kinda dead.
