Feeling tired and sore from a whole day of walking, and especially feeling secure by Kakashi's arms and body, (Y/n) fell asleep for the rest of the trip. She was so comfortable and lulled by his breathing and steps, that she didn't even wake up when they reached their destination.

They were all greeted by a few of Soo-Yun's men. They all wore a somewhat similar warrior uniform, but they did not seem to be ninja uniforms, and judging by the swords that hung on their sides, Kakashi figured they were more likely to be soldiers than shinobi. Even if the jonins had been informed of Soo-Yun's dislike towards ninjas they soon discovered it seemed to be a shared feeling among the people of the Land of River.

"State your names," one of them said with a serious face and tone. But none of the jonins seemed affected by it and did as they were told. Kakashi spoke for (Y/n) as well given that she continued to sleep peacefully over his shoulder.

After that, the jonins were led into the city, through the streets, and into the palace. Luckily, they were guided through narrow and dark streets, but once they reached the palace they all realized the similar looks they got. Surprisingly in contrast to the actual image that awaited them inside the palace.

Once they stepped inside the grounds of the building (Y/n) started to wake up, and although her sleepiness helped her confusion, her bewilderment wasn't actually that different from that of the rest of the jonins. Their ultimate destination inside the palace was an ample hall with a low dining table just as big and long. On it, there were many different types of dishes of various colors and sizes, their tantalizing smell being enough to wake up (Y/n) completely. Kakashi quickly realized and let her fall gently to the floor. However, the strange place and unknown people surrounding her made her continue to hold Kakashi's back from his vest close to her.

"Sit down, Lord Soo-Yun will arrive shortly" one of the men said. And exactly, soon after having sat on the floor the door opened, breaking the silence and showing another group of men among who was Soo-Yun.

He wore fancier robes, this time golden and black, and his face looked serious like (Y/n) hadn't seen before. Everyone except the people from Konoha bowed their heads until he was sitting at the head of the table.

"Thank you for coming," he said with visibly forced politeness "I'm glad the trip was peaceful. I just hope they didn't tire you too much," he then said, this time looking at (Y/n) and with a genuine smile "I feared one day wouldn't be enough,"

"Oh not at all!" (Y/n) quickly rushed, feeling bad for the jonins but especially for Kakashi "I got carried almost half of the way, it's alright," she smiled back.

"Well, I'm sure you all must be tired anyway, so please," he said, giving a sign to everyone at the table to start eating.

Everyone started digging in the numerous dishes. Especially (Y/n) and the rest who had only eaten a small meal all day. Even Kakashi ate, although he did it in movements so quick that even if someone was interested in seeing him they simply wouldn't be able to. A little while after, once some dishes became empty, a few conversations spurred through the table —although they were all from the few of Soo-Yun's warriors who also happened to be his closest ones. The jonins of Konoha remained mostly silent, listening to the rest. Even (Y/n) wasn't sure about talking to Kakashi. Instead, it was Soo-Yun who talked to her whenever he didn't talk to his advisor and cousin.

However, now that (Y/n) had arrived in the Land of River the nerves and anxiousness were growing again. So unluckily, she wasn't able to eat as much as she would have liked. And Soo-Yun, who quickly noticed, immediately left his food as well.

"You aren't hungry?" he asked lowly. She looked at him and with a courteous smile shook her head.

"I guess with all the walking I just want to sleep," she answered. Soo-Yun smiled shortly, and after a pause, he spoke again.
