Katlyn Byers
Katlyn Byers (the main character) is a famous actor who lives in California. She and Steve Harrington are best friends. Her face model is Millie Bobby Brown. She is 17 years old (in season 3 which is the start of the book) and is the middle child of the Byers family. Due to a long-term role in London, she gained a British accent. (You can pretend that her first name is Y/N if you want to pretend that this is a y/n story, I don't care what you do.)
Katlyn's powers are all of the lab subjects' powers and dimensional travel. When she uses dimensional travel, it looks like she is ripping open air and the tear looks like the gate to the upside down but it isn't to the upside down. Like all of Katlyn's other powers, dimensional travel has its limits too. She hasn't reached her full strength and potential so she cannot travel to other dimensions she's not been in before yet. She can only travel from one place on earth to another or to the upside down. (I hope this helped further explain it lol)
Katlyn gained her powers before she was taken by the lab (at 1 year old). She was renamed "017" by the lab. She managed to escape and get back home when she was 7. She and 011 had formed a bond by then. She ended up losing her powers until a few years later in 1983, she and will had gotten trapped in the upside-down together. The Demogorgon took her to 001 and 001 helped her get her powers back. 001 then removed her memory of meeting with 001 and sent her back to where she was hiding. (if this is confusing, I'm sorry lol)

Steve Harrington is the s/o of this story. He is 20 years old and is best friends with Katlyn and Robin. He has feelings for Katlyn and the only one who notices is Dustin, Robin, and Nancy.
About the book
If you would like this to be a y/n story, just pretend Katlyn's name is y/n. I would save you the trouble and have her name be y/n but I have had problems with memory and when writing y/n stories I tend to forget that I am writing a y/n story and accidentally write my name. I hope you guys understand and still like the book either way.
THIS STORY HAS MOST OF THE DIALOG IN THE ORIGINAL STRANGER THINGS, I JUST NEEDED IT FOR THE SCENES. I AM WRITING THIS BOOK FOR FUN AND I'M NOT USING THE SHOW FOR CLOUT. I AM NOT CLAIMING ANY OF THESE SCENES AS MY OWN BECAUSE I KNOW THAT THESE ARE THE DUFFER BROTHERS' SCENES, NOT MINE. I JUST ADDED MY CHARACTER FOR THE PLOT OF THE STORY.
