(Y/N)'s POV
It was hard looking at everyone after learning about my actions the other night. I was thankful they were all gone by the time I woke up and decided to get up. I had a terrible hangover that morning, but Eddie was there the whole time making me feel better. He would constantly check up on me in between my naps, forcing me to drink water and eat crackers. He would hold my hair back and rub my back as I puked whenever I got sick during our movies. I spent that whole day recovering and now today is my first day of work.
I was extremely nervous all morning, wishing Eddie had been there with me, but he had to go home and help his uncle with something. Juliet took his place, making sure I looked my best and told me that I would do amazing. It really didn't seem like a hard job, but I'd never had a job before. The most experience I have at working is with babysitting and even then I wouldn't get paid.
Juliet told me that her and Max should be able to stop by later to see me, making me relax a little more. She was such a great sister. It always hurt me to know that sometimes she had to swap roles with me and be the brave one, but I felt like it was necessary to finally allow me to become a normal teenager who accepts their feelings. It was hard, but I was working on it.
For the past hour, Steve has been showing me the ropes around Family Video. It was a piece of cake and I caught on pretty fast which made Steve happy since he was given more time to flirt with the ladies. With an easy going job and working with my friends, I could tell this was going to be a lot of fun.
"Ow, Steve!" I yelled as he slapped my hands as hard as he could.
"What? It's the game!" He yelled back. I rolled my eyes and tried again. We were bored at this point in work, having everything done and no customers, so we started playing Slaps. I learned that I was terrible at this game which annoyed the competitive side of me.
"Steve." I growled as he slapped me really hard again.
"I can't help that you suck." Steve laughed as he leaned one hand on the counter, his other on his hip as he gave me an amused look.
"I may suck, but you don't have to be so mean about it." I told him while rubbing the pain away in my hands. I then stuck my tongue out at him, causing him to do the same back.
"Hello, children." Robin walked in with Max and Juliet. I smiled over at them and leaned my elbows on the counter while resting my head on my hands.
"Hello, lovelies." I replied.
"It's nice to see the place hasn't burned down." Robin remarked as she looked around the building.
"I'm a fantastic teacher and an even better employee, so I don't know what you're talking about." Steve told Robin. I could already tell it was going to be an amusing argument.
"You're an alright employee and a sucky teacher. The only thing that you're decent at is babysitting." Robin emphasized her words to exaggerate the way she felt towards Steve, pissing him off more in a funny way. Max, Juliet and I sat back and watched with smirks as we waited for Steve's response.
"I am not a babysitter." Steve shook his head at Robin.
"Yes you are." Robin nodded with a sarcastic smile.
"But I'm not."
"But you are."
"Hey, I don't see you over here working or teaching, okay? Okay." Steve scrunched up his nose at Robin, showing his distaste.
"It's because I wasn't put on the schedule, dingus." Robin threw back. We all turned our heads to look at Steve, who struggled to think about what to say next.
