Eddie's POV

My hands will not stop shaking. I have been nervous all day and when the moment finally came, my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest and run for the hills. I know how much she loves me, but there was slight doubt in me that she would actually say yes. I'm just glad that she did agree to my proposal. Now she's really not going anywhere.

"So, um, I-" I cleared my throat and looked at (Y/N) as she smile and waited to hear what I had to say next. She was so locked in on the moment that she didn't notice everyone backing up and Jonathon coming in closer to take the shot that I really wanted. "I don't really have that much money, as you already know." I scratched the back of my neck as I became more nervous. "So, instead of buying you some fancy diamond ring, I made you one."

"What?" (Y/N) looked confused as I reached into my pocket and played with the ring inside between my fingers before pulling it out and showing her. "Oh, Eddie."

"I know it isn't much, but I promise that one day I'll replace it with a real ring." I told her as I slipped the ring onto her finger.

"Is this a string from your guitar?" She looked at the ring then back up at me.

"Yeah." I said nervously. "Again, don't worry, I-"

"Just shut up and kiss me already." (Y/N) cut me off by pulling at my leather jacket and down to her lips. I smiled against her and pulled her in closer. I kept one hand on her waist while the other cupped her cheek, making her smile in return. It felt as if we were the only ones left in the world and I couldn't get enough of the moment.

"Alright, save it for the bedroom." Luke interrupted. I could hear all of the kids 'ew,' making (Y/N) and I laugh.

"I think it's time for us to go." Stacy announced. "Let's go, people. Move it."

I grabbed (Y/N)'s hand in mine, never wanting to let it go ever again. The feeling of the ring on her finger rubbing against my skin made me smile. I looked down at the ground as she talked to Nancy and Chrissy. I was trying so damn hard to stop smiling, but I just couldn't. This was the best day of my life and it's not even over. I get to finish it with not only the love of my life, but my fiancé.

Fiancé. It's such an adult word.

(Y/N)'s POV

"So, we're moving the party to Steve's house since his parents are gone, meaning you two will have the house to yourselves." Nancy wiggled her eyebrows at me. I blushed and shook my head with a smile.

"Juliet will be spending the night at Max's, so don't worry about her. I have her covered. You and Eddie won't have any interruptions. All. Night. Long." Chrissy emphasized her last three words as she gave me a suggestive look.

"Chrissy. Nancy. Let's go!" Luke yelled for them.

"Alright, have fun!" Chrissy yelled as Nancy pulled her away. I watched as they skipped together to the group, slowly disappearing into the dark of the woods.

"Ready to make some babies?" Eddie asked before picking me up bridal style and beginning our short walk back to the house.

"Woah, cowboy. We are not making babies tonight." I shook my head as I laughed nervously at the thought of having children. We just got engaged and he's already thinking about the next step in our lives, well I wouldn't say step. I would say more like the biggest leap of his life because I was not planning on having children any time soon. After this morning, I was close to just getting my tubes tied.

"Ugh, fine." Eddie joked as he walked into the back door and set me down as he slid it back shut.

"I'll race you." I smiled up at him. He went to open his mouth to say something, but I cut him off by starting the run to my room.
