My Secret

Chapter 17

"You're a mermaid!?" I said. "Yes" she said evilly "ugh I hate your kind you guys are all nice" "why" "because I'm a shark!" she said

I backed away "that's right swim away I'll catch you." I tried to swim but she caught me with her powers. She pulled me into a cave it was dark and she shoved me into a cold cell. She locked the door, smirked at me and swam out of the cave. I had to get out of here I tried to find something to open it with. But it was no use I wasn't getting out of here anytime soon.

   I sat down on the bench and leaned my head against the concrete. The walls were made of concrete blocks and the one that I was putting my head against felt sort of weird. I sat up and examined the block, it looked like it wasn't even in the wall. I tried pulling on the block and I moved out from where it should have been. In the block imprint was a key. 

I heard Serena's voice I quickly put back the rock and sat on the bench. She swam in and checked to see if I had managed to escape. She didn't say anything but swim off to meet someone. Once she was gone I pulled the block out, grabbed the key and unlocked the cell. I made sure to put the key and block back just in case I needed it again or someone else. I swam as fast as I could to the shore.

I dried off and ran back to my house and locked all the doors. I was completely out of breathe. "What the hell?!" Aqua said. I screamed and I shook all over. "Oh my god you scared me" I said still out of breathe. "Serena she's- she's-" "calm down" Aqua said smoothly. "She's a shark!" I said finally catching my breathe. 

"She locked me up but I escaped" "oh my god are you okay?" She asked. "yeah I'm fine just stay away from her." I said walking into the kitchen to get dinner. It was spaghetti, I put it in the microwave and got out 2 bowls. "I wonder why she locked you up" Aqua said.

 "who knows" the microwave beeped. I poured the spaghetti into both bowls and handed one to Aqua. "so do you like your room" I asked walking to it." Very much thank you again" "no prob" we both sat down on Aquas bed and ate our spaghetti as we talked about her room.

I went to school the next day, Aqua and I walked together and along the way we joined Kaitlyn. "Hey Kaitlyn" I said "Hey guys" she said excitedly. We all walked to school, when we got to school we split off to go to our lockers. I opened my locker I put my backpack away and started to get some of my books. Then Serena came up to me right beside me and my locker. 

"I see you managed to escape" she said in an annoying tone. "Yeah I did" just then Henry walked up to me and immediately Serena stood up straight and but a big fake smile on. "Hey" he said I giggled "Hey" Henry and I have only been dating for a few days and in those few days have been the best. "Hey who's this?" He asked "this is-" I said as I was cut off by Serena "oh I'm Serena" she said in a flirty voice. "Hi Serena where are you from?" "I'm from Hawaii" she said "thats cool I've always wanted to go there" "maybe we could go there together under-" Serena said in her evil tone "okay Henry we have to get to class" I said as I pulled Henry down the hall.

   We were about to walk to Aqua but Justin came over to her. I stopped in my tracks and Henry bumped into me "why did you stop" he said walking towards Aqua. I pulled him back "no leave them alone" I said "oh right" he said finally getting it. Aqua had pink flushed cheeks and so did Justin I guess he was trying to ask her out. 

Then I heard a squeal and I snapped out of my thinking zone. She was hugging Justin so I guess that was a good sign. Justin walked away and Henry walked to him I speed walked over to Aqua "soo what was that about?" I asked anxiously. "Justin asked me out!!" "Omg Aqua that's great" We both squealed then Kaitlyn came over to us "what's all the squealing about" she asked. "Justin just asked her out" then we all squealed. "Wait so did you say yes" is asked "duh" she said then we all laughed.

I just got out of school and I was walking with the girls. Henry ran up behind me and said "guess who" he whispered into my ear. I turned around to see him I hugged him. "Hey can I talk to you alone" he said looking at the rest of the girls. They walked ahead, Henry grabbed my hand and kissed my cheek. I blushed "okay so I'm going to take you out tonight" "really" I said curiously."Yeah we haven't had our first date yet so I just want you to dress causal okay" "Okay" "I'll be at you house at six" "okay" I said as he kissed me on the cheek and ran to his house. Aqua and I said bye to Kaitlyn as she made her way to her house.

We walked inside and I heard laughing Aqua and I walked to the deck and there I saw my mom laughing with some man he was very handsome but I didn't like what I saw. "Oh girls this is Dan I met him on the beach and well I invited him over for dinner" "oh okay well mom I'm really sorry but I'm going out with Henry tonight" "oh well that's okay" she said happier. Aqua and I walked to our rooms and just as I was about to jump onto my bed I heard a squeal. Aqua ran into my room "OMG I'm going out with Justin tonight" "same but not with Justin" we both screamed. "What am I going to wear" she said walking to her room in a panicked way.

I started in my home work and when I finished it was 5:00. I drew myself a bubble bath and put on some relaxing music. After I got out I shaved my legs with this shaving creme that did not include water I didn't even know they made that. I picked out a cute casual dress it was navy and on the top it had lace then on the bottom it was basically like a skirt. 

I put on a light coat of makeup no jewelry and some white converse. When I walked out I saw Aqua in a pretty blue silk dress with a bow on the top she looked beautiful. I heard the doorbell and I opened it, it was Henry he was dressed in a stripped plaid shirt, kakis, and white converse which we both got to match each other. He was holding a rose. 

He gave it to me and he grabbed my hand, I waved to Aqua. Henry took me down to the beach "where are we going" I asked "you'll see" we walked to a place where there was sand and so grass patches. In the distance I saw a picnic blanket, candles, and food. I smiled at Henry and he smiled back. "Its perfect" I said as I sat down. Everything was laid out perfectly my plate had homemade pizza and fruit, my favorite "my favorite foods" I said "just for you" he said. I leaned my head on his shoulder watching the waves crash and the sun go down. He kissed my head "just for you".
