Chapter 22

Aquas pov
My whole world collapsed "what" I said I super quiet whispered voice. Lindsey looked at me "did you know" I said "of course not Aqua I would never keep a secret like that from you" she said. I looked at my parents they were looking at Henry "you guys are my parents" he said with his eyes filling up with tears, "that's impossible I have parents and you are not them" he said crying and swimming away as fast as he could.

"Aqua we wanted to tell you sooner but-" my parents said "sooner mom dad I'm 17 years old if you haven't noticed. "Aqua we never wanted to keep this from you, we were going to tell you this month- because Henry has to take over the kingdom" there was a pause "what he can't do that you guys can't just take his life under water, he has a whole life on land you just expect him to pack his bags and move down here, he has a wonderful family and a good life". "Aqua we don't have a choice" "oh well I think you do" I said swimming away.

Lindsey's pov
"Why does Henry have to take over?" I asked "because I am dying I'm sick and I can't rule for much longer" he said "Does Aqua know". "No" he said. "You have to tell her" "I can't she won't understand". "Well then I'll make her" I said as I swam away. I had to get Aqua to understand where her parents are coming from and Henry, I know it's hard for him but he just had to understand.

Henry's pov
I was so angry right now, my parents aren't my parents, and I have a sister. I didn't want to believe this but I had to accept it but I don't want to. I just need to get away.

Serena's pov
By now the whole kingdom has found out about Henry being the Kings son, witch I had no idea about. But I was so going to use this. Lindsey was my number one priority I had to do something evil to her something that she will hate. I got it! I thought in my head. I started getting to work right away. I opened my book and looked for a specific spell I ran my finger all the way down to the bottom of the page and there it was the perfect potion, a poison potion!

Aquas pov
I swam away to my house crying, I couldn't believe my parents lied to me. I can't believe Henry is my brother, I mean we do sort of look alike, come to think of it we do look alike. I opened my fridge in my kitchen, yes mermaids do have food and a special drink to keep our energy levels up. I grabbed a glass and poured some of the delightful purple juice. I carried the glass up to my room, and put it on my dresser. I turned away to get some more food from downstairs, I was really hungry.

Serena's pov
Now was my chance I swam to her window in her house. Her bedroom was empty then I saw the perfect target her juice I quickly swam over to it and poured the potion into it before anyone saw me. Then swam off satisfied with my plan.

Aquas pov
I came back upstairs and picked up my juice and drank it, it sort of tasted funny. Then I felt something in my throat, I was choking on it I coughed but it wouldn't work I couldn't breathe. I fell to the ground and blacked out.

Lindsey's pov
I swam around trying to find Aqua I looked around the corals in the palace and in the cave, but nothing. Then I remembered there was one place that I hadn't checked her house. I swam along the corals to Aquas house. "Aqua" I called into the dark house.

It was sort of creepy I didn't know where she was and all the lights were off. I swam upstairs "Aqu-a" I stopped to see her on the floor with shattered glass around her. There was a note on the floor it said "R.I.P see you at school" "Serena!" I shouted half crying. I looked at Aqua she looked pale her throat was red and she was barley breathing.

I picked her up and swam as fast as I could to the palace. People around me were looking at me wondering what was going on. but I ignored them. I set Aqua down on the palace steps just as the King and Queen rushed out. They gasped as they saw Aqua and rushed to her side. "What happened" they shouted "Serena poisoned her".

"Wait why were you rushing out" I asked "Lindsey there is no time to waste we just got a signal from one of our under water cameras signaling 2 sharks and a boy." the Queen said. "We think it might be Henry" I started to panic. "What!?" I swam so fast everything around me blurred.

  I finally found Henry near the drop off to the rest of the dark ocean. He was surrounded by 2 sharks and they were closely moving towards him. Henry saw me "Help" I swam closer "use your powers" I said "i don't know how" he said. "Just focused all your energy on you hand" I said he held up his hand and let out a flash, the Sharks were gone, I don't know where but they were gone. I swam over to him to hug him. He felt so warm. Once we let go he stared into my blue eyes "thank you" he said "Henry I know things are hard for you right now but-" I got cut off "Lindsey I'm fine at least I will be" he said confidently.

I smiled as we both swam away, I forgot to tell him about Aqua. "um Henry there is something you should know, Aqua she got poisoned by Serena" I saw his eyes get big then he swam really fast to the palace steps. He stopped in his tracks as he looked at Aqua. "Aqua please wake up" the queen imploringly asked. "Aqua is gonna be okay right" Henry asked. The king and queen looked up as their eyes filled with tears. "stand back" I said. I rose my hand over Aquas mouth and pulled the potion out of her. Once I put my hand down Aqua stared breathing heavily trying to catch her breathe. She looked up at me and hugged me and hugged her parents and she hugged Henry and Henry smiled.

   We really needed to go home I don't think we have been that long under water. We all swam to shore and dried off. Then we all walked home when we opened the door, Kaitlyn Justin and my mom were sitting in chairs. They all rose when we came in. "Where have you been!?" My mom shouted. I went across the room and looked at the calendar 2 days had past. I looked at Henry and Aqua nervously how were we going to explain!?
