"No... No. Over my dead body." I scowled, crossing my arms over my chest, my power from Joseph's sacred fruit wearing off. And I was beginning to feel the sting in my shoulder where Jacob had stabbed me with his large hunting knife. I hadn't realized until just now that it was still in my hand; I was gripping it tightly in case I needed to protect myself from the Father.

Joseph's smile had now disappeared at my answer, his face somber. "Very well then. It's your choice, even though it is the wrong one... Another seal has been opened. I thought I knew God's plan. But I was wrong... I was blind. But now I see. You took my family from me, Jacob and countless of my children, so that I could have yours. We will welcome them with open arms... just as we will welcome you. We will be waiting for you, Morgan, where it all began..." A dangerous glint in his eyes could be seen from miles away, and he turned around, walking away.

I put Jacob's hunting knife in my empty gun holster; it'll have to do for now. It was better than going weaponless... Then, my heart dropped when I noticed a peggy with a bow, a bliss arrow aimed right for my leg.

The next thing I knew, the arrow had landed in my thigh; I didn't have enough time to dodge it. But I pulled it out as quick as I could, tossing it aside, pulling Pratt with me to get the fuck out of here and escape.

But my vision was turning green from the bliss arrow, sparkles appearing in some spots. And I knew that the bliss was going to take over my senses and it'll bring me to unconsciousness any second now.

"Rook! Rook!" I heard Staci holler as I started to lose my balance, nearly tripping over my own feet. He caught me, dragging me toward the Veteran's Center gates. "We're nearly there. Hold on." Pratt grunted, dragging my half-conscious self toward the exit.

My eyelids were becoming heavier and heavier, and I couldn't hardly keep my head up. Then I heard a groan as the same peggy shot Staci in the leg as well, causing him to fall to the ground too.

I lost consciousness, but not without a fight...

A door opening woke me up, although I was still in a daze. My eyes fluttered open as I tried to take in my surroundings. I was on the hard ground, the cold concrete was pressed into my back. I quickly realized I was at Joseph's church, where it all first began; even though I was still high on the bliss, I could at least comprehend where I was at. I stood up in a daze, nearly falling but I kept my balance.

I noticed that Joseph was the one that opened the door and he was walking up to me. Blinking repeatedly in an attempt to get my vision back, I was finally able to as he stood about four feet in front of me.

"And when the Lamb broke the fifth seal, and I saw under the altar the souls of the Martyrs, slain because of the word of God..." The Father spoke menacingly, his eyes directed to the sky before he began to gaze into my eyes.

His words gave me chills as I tried to see if Jacob's hunting knife was still holstered in my pocket. But to my luck, it wasn't. Joseph must've taken it; he was smarter than I gave him credit for. The man knew me too well.

"You've made martyrs of my family..." Joseph pointed at me, stepping closer to me, his calm rage evident in his voice. "And I am prepared to do the same to yours." He glared at me angrily, but kept his cool exterior as he trudged behind me.

Swiftly, I turned around and noticed that all my friends were here, and they were all high on bliss. Whitehorse, Hudson, and Pratt were on their knees, guns to their heads. Tracey had her gun aimed at Earl, Jerome had his gun on Joey, and Wheaty had his gun on Staci. Mary May, Nick, Tammy, Eli, Grace, and Jess were behind them, not able to control their actions. Joseph and his followers had drugged them with so much bliss that my friends were at the moment his minions.
