6 Months Later
When Samantha had first come into her coma, I was scared and afraid of what might happen. I was lonely without the love of my life by my side at school and for the first few months, I started failing my classes. My parents and teachers knew my situation but that didn't stop them from getting bitter at me. I started to care a bit more each week with my life.
I came to visit Samantha, everyday after school. I wouldn't leave without her in my sight until after 4 o'clock in the morning. My parents were worried about me the whole time, but they gave me my space. I couldn't thank them anymore that they did that.
I hear from the doctor that Samantha should be waking soon. Every weekend, I spend waiting for her to open her eyes to me. Everyday after school, I wait until midnight to be able to hear her soothing voice again. I want to be there when she wakes up.
Tiffany, Grant, and Samantha's parents would come to visit with me sometimes, or they would come on their own. I can honestly tell that I know Grant really cares for Samantha a lot, but I am afraid he will go to far out of hand with his "Love" for her, but in a way, I trust him. All he has done so far is apologize for what he did. I respect that and he does keep his distance from her when I am around or aware of him being around her.
One day, Grant came into the room around noon on a Sunday. He asked about the results the doctor have given me. I didn't want to tell him that she is almost out of the coma, but I didn't want to be rude either.
"I haven't heard anything." I lied.
"Oh, well when you do, tell me, please." He pleaded.
I nodded my head. I looked down at Samantha and she slept so very soundly. She looked so peaceful. I really miss her. Then, my phone started to ring. It was Tiffany. Apparently, Gerard had gotten into a car accident and she was wondering if I could pick them up and take them to the car dealership. I told her that I was going to be on my way, as quick as I could.
"Listen, Tiffany needs me right now. Are you going to stay here any longer?"
"Yeah."
"Can you watch over her? If anything happens?"
"Sure thing."
"Thank you." I grabbed my bag on the couch. I got my car keys out and checked for my wallet and phone. I headed towards the door. I turned back and saw Grant studying her from a distance. I sighed and left the room. I went to the elevator, took it down to the first floor, and then I left the building.
