Sophia let me in on what happened with Sean in the cafeteria. She told me her whole plan, too. I decided to be with Samantha at her house while both her parents were away at work. It's been a while since they've gone to work, but they needed to if they wanted to keep their house and such.

We are in her bedroom watching a movie. I've never seen it, but Samantha is laughing her butt off. As much as I enjoy seeing that beautiful smile and hearing that adorable laugh, I pretend to fall asleep. I pretend for 30 minutes before she notices. She turns down the volume a bit and I feel her stare at me. I wonder what she is thinking. She lightly pecks me on the lips. I hear a faint growl. It must be her stomach. She slowly crawls out of the bed making sure not to wake me up. I hear the door close behind her. I hear the slight pitter patter of her foot steps going downstairs. I slightly open my eyes to make sure she was gone. Alright, all clear.

I get up off the bed and look at the clock on her nightstand. 5:26 p.m.. Perfect.

Sophia told me that Sean planned another attempt for today around 5:30. She told him that I would be gone, but she thought of me staying there spying on them which I didn't hesitate to agree to. I quietly stride to the door and crack it open. I hear her humming a song while making something on the stove top. I go down step-by-step until I am down just enough to see her and the front door. I hear a knock. I freeze where I sit and hold my breath.

Samantha checks through the peep hole and I see her shoulder tense up. She lets out a loud sigh and opens the door. I faintly hear what they say.

"What are you doing here?" She asks, annoyed.

"I know you don't want to see me, but I need to try to get you to rem-"

"Remember what?!" She interrupts.

"Just please, let me try again." She tilts her head up. I assume to look into his eyes. She sighs again.

"Fine." She agrees.

She goes out of sight in the living room. He follows her in. I hear the couch springs go down as they sit down. There is silence at the moment. I crawl down the stairs more until I reach the bottom. I see them from the side. He is facing toward her, so I can't see her face fully. I really only see his back, but I kept listening.

"Are you just going to keep staring at me or do you having something else?" She blunts out.

"I'm sorry, you are just so beautiful. You never fail to amaze me with your beauty." There's a pause before she responds.

"Thank you, but what do you want?"

He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a locket. I see the shimmer of gold as it hits the sunlight. He hands it to her. She gazes at it as she turns it around in her palm. He starts talking.

"You gave me this locket when it was Christmas. It was the coldest Christmas. You came late in the day because you were with your family for the first half of the day. You came in and made yourself at home. We sat on the couch as my mother served us her famous hot coco. We laughed about what happened at our family dinners and we watched movies on the Hallmark channel. Afterwards, we decided to give gifts. I gave you a stuffed giraffe with our initials in a felt heart around it's neck. You squealed your adorable squeal and made me heart skip beats. Then, I opened my gift. I was surprised seeing a gold locket in the cardboard box wrapped in gold wrapping paper. I opened it and saw a picture of us kissing. We looked so happy. I started to tear up, then I started crying when I saw this on the other side of the inside."

He took the locket from her hand and opened it. She gasped a little and he read what it said.

" 'I love you Sean. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. You make me so happy. I don't know what I would do without you.' " He looked up at her. " 'I love you.' "

They held their gaze for a few minutes. I had no idea what was going through their minds. He slowly slid his hand to her hand. He leaned in, but Samantha turned her head. He ended up kissing her on the cheek. She shot up and stood in front of him. Her cheeks were a deep red as little tear stained trails laid upon them. He stood up next to her.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-" He tried to exclaim, but she interrupted him.

"I think you should go." She looked at the door. She kept her gaze there.

"Samantha... "

"GO!" She shouted.

He slumps his back and heads to the door. He tries to talk to her again, but he finally gives up and leaves. Samantha stands their for a few minutes. I watch her as she seems to be thinking of something like there was a conflict in her mind that she just couldn't handle. I wanted to go down there and help her, but I didn't want her to know I was spying on her. After five minutes, she goes into the kitchen and finishes what she was making. I hurry upstairs and get into the bed. I close my eyes and hear the door open.
