~ Nicole Cunningham ~

Nicole and Chrissy are twin sisters. Fraternal twins that is, but twins nonetheless. Nicole has brown hair, and a different face shape, but other than that, they look pretty similar.

The twins' mom put Nicole and Chrissy into dance, cheerleading, and pageants at a very young age. She wanted her daughters to be the queen bees of their high school, pushing them to be the prettiest, skinniest, and most popular there was.

While Nicole enjoyed being on the teams, she didn't enjoy the pressure she was put under. By 13, once puberty hit, Nicole began growing into her own person, and her interests were taken up by other things. She also became far more competitive, and wanted to be the best there was at whatever she did.

Nicole's competitive drive had her wanting to try out for competitive cheerleading, which her mom wouldn't allow her to do. Not because their family didn't have the money to fund it, but because she didn't like how muscular competitive cheerleaders were. She didn't think it was feminine enough, and god knows that her daughters weren't allowed to be anything but feminine.

Nicole got in fights with her mom a lot, and her punishments were cruel. Often times, a fight meant no dinner.

Once the twins' senior year rolled around, Nicole took it upon herself to quit cheerleading, which her mom did not like. It caused a very big fight at the beginning of the year, where it escalated to Nicole calling her mother abusive and blaming her for Nicole and Chrissy's eating disorders. Long story short, she kicked her 'rebellious' daughter out, and Nicole was now staying at Nancy Wheeler's house.

Nancy was Nicole's best friends, and her mom treated Nicole like her own. They have been friends since elementary school, and any time Nicole had an argument with her mom, she called Nancy up, and her mom was picking Nicole up to stay the night. Sometimes, she even stayed several days at the Wheeler's house.

Her mom was always someone Nicole could go to for help. She always talked her through problems that she knew she could never go to her own mom about, and Mrs. Wheeler accepted Nicole for who she was and supported whatever ambitions she had, which is why they helped her join a collegiate cheer team after she moved in with them.
