Mikey, the boy who always took his sweet time walking down the halls of school, was moving a little more quickly than usual.
He was heading towards his sister's classroom to pick her up for lunch but was a little too eager in hoping he would be lucky enough to get a glimpse of the beautiful girl he had seen last week.
'Never have I wanted a weekend to go faster in my life.' He thought to himself.
He wasn't sure why he became so captivated by this girl so suddenly, I mean he had only laid eyes on her for mere moments. But something inside him was just telling him that he needed to see her again.
Just as he was about to set foot inside the classroom, his sister stepped out causing them to almost bump into each other and a frown settled over both their features.
"I'm just going to the bathroom, wait for me here." She said a little irritated and Mikey rolled his eyes wondering if it were just that time of the month. Just in case it was, for his own safety, he chose to keep his mouth shut and just do as she said.
The blonde boy peeked his head in at first, his eyes instantly moving to the place he had first seen her, and they sparkled a little when he saw her sitting there by the window, eyes closed with her headphones on.
'Kozue...'
Before he knew it, his body was dragging him towards her until he ended up seated in the desk directly in front of hers. He turned around straddling the chair so that he could see her properly and rested his head against his arm on the chair. A smile slowly etched onto his face as he listened to her evened breathing before waving a hand in front of her face. She didn't even flinch.
'She has such pretty features.' He thought to himself as his eyes scanned every inch of her perfect face. Her long and dense eyelashes, silky dark hair, perfect plump lips.
The moment he went to reach for her headphone, the air turned cold as she grabbed his wrist startling him.
'Woah! Quick reflexes.' He thought.
Her eyes finally opened and connected with his for the very first time. He let out a silent gasp when he was met with the most beautiful steel grey eyes he had ever seen in his life. In fact, he had never seen eyes that colour and he was getting lost the longer he looked at them. They were like silver pools of mercury.
She glared at him, and he noted her intimidating aura that hadn't been there before. He laughed in amusement trying to cover the fact that he was blushing, and she let go of his hand leaving him cold.
"Hi, I'm Sano Manjiro, but everyone just calls me Mikey. You're Kou-chin right?" He asked resting his chin in his palms and she furrowed her brows.
"It's Kozue." She corrected.
"Oh right, do you mind if I call you Kou-chin?" He pressed, but she looked unamused.
"Yes." She said plainly and he frowned at her rejection, his bottom lip jutting out in a pout. An action Kozue probably would've found cute had she not been so annoyed with this stranger invading her personal space. "What were you doing before?"
