Mikey was beginning to get more and more restless with each passing day that Kozue ignored him.
It wasn't so much that she ignored him to his face, but more so that she just knew he was going to show up at her classroom to try and talk to her so she would leave before he could even arrive. It got to the point where he was leaving his class early to try and catch her.
But she was just as cunning.
Her new sleeping spot was behind some of the trees in the backyard of their school. She found it much more relaxing that staying in the classroom and wished she had discovered it sooner. She always preferred fresh air.
"Can't you just tell her I need to talk to her? She's avoiding me like the plague!" Mikey whined to his sister as the usual trio sat in the classroom.
"Maybe she thinks you are the plague?" Draken teased causing the older Sano sibling to glare hard before sending a jolt to the tattooed male's ribs which made him hunch over in pain.
"Do it yourself Mikey! I'm not getting in the middle of whatever this is." She exasperated as she waved her arms around. She was beginning to get sick of her brothers insistent need to speak with Kozue. I mean it was getting borderline obsessive and she started to realise he had probably grown overly attached to her. Once that happened there was no getting away from him. He treasured the people he cared about dearly and it was clear Kozue was now one of those people, even if their conversations had been on the scarce side.
"Whatever then." He said pettily before stomping out of the classroom in a sulk causing the couple to look at each other exhaustedly before sighing and deciding to let him cool off.
It was nearing the end of lunch and Mikey was beginning to get hungry again. Just as he was making his way to the vending machine, he spotted a certain long haired ravenette and his eyes lit up.
'Is it my lucky day? It has to be!'
"Kou-chin!" He called out, but she didn't appear to acknowledge him at all, and he frowned as he hurried over to her before she could leave his sight again.
"Kou-chin!" He called again, about to grab onto her arm but instead only tapped her shoulder, remembering she wasn't exactly one who liked to be touched.
She turned to look at him, her steel grey eyes shifting up and down his figure in a confused look and he swallowed hard feeling that familiar feeling. That feeling of being completely readable and vulnerable.
"Are you talking to me?" She asked confused and he nodded his head offering her a bright closed eyed smile. Her tongue brushed over her teeth inside her mouth as she fought to keep her usual expression. She wasn't sure why or when it started happening but whenever this annoying ass blonde smiled at her like that, it made her chest feel some type of way.
"The name's Kozue." She reminded him and he shrugged his shoulders.
"I know, but to me your Kou-chin, because we're fri-"
