"Kou-chin?"
There in the door stood the girl that had been on his mind ever second of every day for the past two weeks. His eyes widened as he took in every inch of her, he was almost tearing up at the sight.
She felt her spirits lifting as she looked at him, surprised that he was here in the shop.
"Jiro? What are you doing here-"
He closed the distance between them in an instant, walking right up to her before he wrapped her up in his arms tightly.
She was taken aback, but she didn't make any effort to stop him. Instead, she returned the hug, burying her face into his chest. He closed his eyes as he hugged her waist, the other hand threading into her hair as he cradled her head close to his chest. Her tropical scent once again filled his senses, the familiarity making him relax in an instant and a deep sigh left him.
'God how I've missed you.'
He felt like his world was back on its axis.
"I missed you so much." He whispered, and she smiled giving him a small squeeze before pulling away. Mikey pouted slightly as he wasn't ready to let her go, so he slid his hand into hers instead.
"Hey Ken." She said waving over his shoulder, and Draken waved back.
"Hey Kozue, long time no see. It's good to have you back. Honestly Mikey has been a handful." The tall male teased, and Kozue hid a small laugh. "He hasn't stopped whining about you."
"Ken-chin!" Mikey yelled embarrassed by his friends word. He felt his cheeks warming as he turned an angry glare to his friend.
"Why didn't you tell me you were back?" He asked regaining his composure and she gave him a sheepish look as a blush tinted her cheeks.
"Uh, well actually I lost my phone... turns out it had ended up in my mother's bag. I didn't find it until this morning. I forgot she had taken it, that was why I wasn't able to text you for so long." She said embarrassed and Mikey deadpanned before a short laugh left his lips. She got embarrassed over the smallest things and he found it adorable. "I was actually just heading over to your house, but I forgot something."
Mikey couldn't help the stupid smile tugging at his lips hearing that she was coming over to see him. It showed that she was also thinking about him, and he felt like the luckiest girl.
"What did you forget?" He asked raising a curious brow, and she grabbed his hand and pulled him upstairs.
"You can go ahead and leave Ken-chin!" Mikey called out and a tsk left Draken's lips before he rolled his eyes. Of course he would ditch him as soon as Kozue showed up, though he couldn't help the small smile of happiness he had for his friend.
She made him truly happy without even needing to try, and that brought him joy seeing that his best friend had finally found that special someone.
