Their fight was one word, fun.
Mikey could sense that Kozue was having a lot of fun simply by her body language, to which also allowed him to have fun. He couldn't help but smile.
Like himself, she loved to fight.
He quickly came to realise she seemed a lot more relaxed than any other setting the two had been in, and that fighting was where she seemed to be the most comfortable. She had this excitable glint in her eye, it was the same when he watched her fight Draken.
"Okay Sano you've had your fun, now it's time for you to get serious."
"I have been!" He whined defensively and she shook her head amused which made him sigh dramatically "Alright fine."
He suddenly fought harder against her, something she was knew was coming, but still wasn't prepared for. He was moving to fast for her now and just as his foot was about to connect with her head, his eyes widen.
He hesitated.
She didn't falter, nor did she waste the opportunity and took his 0.1 second of hesitation to sweep kick his grounded leg and lay him out before pinning him.
Mikey never hesitated in fights, but even if he did, his opponents were never quick enough to take advantage of it like she was. He realised that she was the type of fighter you couldn't afford to make any mistakes against, and he respected that.
"I win." She said victoriously, a smirk tugging at her lips which brought out a playful smile of his own as he sighed in defeat. He didn't mind losing if it were to her and he had to admit he liked this cheeky side of her. It was attractive as hell.
"The reason you lost was because you hesitated. You were too afraid to hit me for real." She warned him and he scoffed in denial.
"No, I didn't, and it's not! You're just too strong Kou-chin!" He argued rubbing his head as he tried to sit up, but she pushed him back down refusing to let him up.
"I can sense you holding back whether its unintentional or not. I'm no amateur Sano, and neither are you." She told him and he cleared his throat feeling particularly dominated right now. He was used to her more reserved and quiet side, but right now she had a certain bossiness, and it was incredibly sexy.
"A- alright fine." He sighed. "I thought I could hit you, but I can't."
While his words brought her a sense of comfort and to think well about the boy, she couldn't deny that she wanted to know what it was like to fight him for real.
"Although it's noble to never hit a woman, there might come a time when you're going to need to, and if you don't know when it's necessary to do so, then it could get you killed one day." She warned and the boy furrowed his brows in confusion.
"But we're just sparring Kou-chin. Besides, not many people out there could best me, except for you of course." Mikey laughed though she remained serious. She straddled his hips tighter before leaning over him closer to his face which immediately ceased his laughter and instead caused his breathing to hitch. He could feel every inch of her body against his and it was about to send his mind into a haze if he didn't remain focused.
