It hasn't even been a Month

Newt's P.o.v.

The alarm went off signaling the arrival of a new Greenie. I was confused it hasn't even been a month yet. How could there already be a new newbie? Nothing like this had ever happened before and I and all the other Gladers didn't know what to expect. I rushed out of the Homestead and over to the box where a pack of Gladers were already hovering seeing if they could somehow catch a glimpse of the Newbie.

"Move out the way all of you!" I barked shoving people out of my way.

We all stayed like this for the next hour and a half waiting patiently for our 'special' new arrival. The wait was always excruciating and nerve wracking because you'll never know what or who will come out of that box.

Andrea's P.o.v.

I was snuggled against Gally's chest when I heard the all too familiar alarm. I pulled away from his grasp and went to go investigate wanting to be there for the newcomer. When I made it there Chuck was the only one there.

"Chuck!" I called to him.

He turned around and waved me over.

"It hasn't even been a month yet how's there a new Greenie already?"

"Beats me I haven't even been here a month."

"Do you think it's something bad?" He asked all the fear was evident in his voice. I could tell he was trying so hard to be brave, but he was only eleven or twelve and didn't know much of what was happening around him. Out of all people Chuck and this new newbie had every right and privilege to be scared out of their shucking mind.

"Chuck if it was something bad and it was going to go after you. I'd be there to protect you. Always."

"And I'd be there to try and protect you. Always."

After, our little sentimental moment it didn't take long for the rest of the gladers to come and investigate.

"Move out the way all of you!" I heard Newt's voice yell over the crowd as he shoved people out of the way trying to take authority to the situation.

Chuck beckoned me to move back and get out of Newt's way, but I refused. I was determined to be one of the first faces this girl or boy may see. To reassure them they might have a friend in this place. Unlike me who was pretty much treated like a pile of klunk my first week or so here. That and passing out from Newt's ugliness. CALM DOWN I'M KIDDING

Percy's P.o.v.

I was just talking to my bro Jason when we both heard the alarm. I gave him a look that said 'It's go time.'

"Bro I think we both know what we have to do." I said looking at Jason.

"Agreed." He then bended down and I jumped on his back.

"Let's go bro!" I yelled as he ran off with me on his back.

When we arrived at the box he set me down gently and we kindly made out way to the front of the crowd where Newt and Alby were waiting for the new Greenie.

"How long has it been?"

"Thirty minutes." Alby answered bluntly.

"We have approximately an hour left." Newt added in.

__________

We waited the next hour or so crowded around the box anticipating our new arrival. Then finally the Box was here we opened the small gates and inside was another girl. She had blonde hair, stormy grey eyes, and an intelligent sort of look on her face. I couldn't help but stare. I know I only drool in my sleep, but I was sure drooling over this girl. I made the first move and stuck out my hand.

"Welcome to the Glade Greenie," I said introducing this hell. "I'm Percy. Percy Jackson."

"Annabeth." She said taking my hand.
