Time flys by when your nestled in a good book. I've spent so many hours with so many books sitting in my local coffee shop. I love the cozy atmosphere and the smell of the coffee beans. I usually come here every day after work. I know all of the baristas and they all know my order. A chocolate chip muffin and a caramel cappuccino. When I walked in today I ordered my usual and sat down at my normal table I noticed a new person sitting in the booth next to mine. The person looked to be in their 20s with dark black curly hair. He looks like what I picture every romance novel's lover looks like.
"Amethyst" a barista called out. I get up to get my order. "Thank you." I say to the barista. "Have you seen the new guy in booth 3?," The barista asks. "Yes," I said. "You should go talk to him," they said. "Maybe, I don't really know," I said knowing that I would never have the guts to, no matter how much I want to. I walked back to my table. I took a few sips of my drink and pulled out my book to start reading again. I heard mystery boy in the next booth over get up and leave. I missed my chance. "I might not see him again," I thought. I spent another 3 hours reading my book before I got up and walked home for the day.
