Warmth

Arny's POV:

I heard a pounding sound so I quickly sprinted downstairs to see what it was. It was coming from the front door. I looked out the window to see Danny frantically pounding on the door. I quickly unlocked the door and let him in. "Hey man where is she? Is she okay?" Danny asked looking around the room worriedly. "Hey, she's okay. She's upstairs in my bed warming up. But I think she's going to be just fine." I said. Danny and I headed upstairs to my room. We sat on my bed to keep Amethyst warm. Just seconds after we had sat down Amethyst jolted up. She started shaking as she scanned the room. "Hey it's okay. You're safe here with us" I said softly stroking her hand. "Nothing is going to hurt you" Danny said in a soothing voice. Her eyes were filled with terror but as soon as she realized who we were she slightly calmed down but not enough to stop shaking. "I'll go make us some hot chocolate. It might make you feel better" Danny said with a soft smile. He was about to get up but Amethyst pulled him into a small hug. I felt a little saddened that she hadn't hugged me when she saw me but at least she was okay. As soon as Danny left the room Amethyst turned her attention directly to me. She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. Her eyes stared deep in to mine as if she were trying to find the perfect words to say but she couldn't find anything to say. She looked away blushing and slightly embarrassed. "Are you okay love?" I asked staring at her trying to decipher what she was feeling. "Um.. I'm okay. Just a little embarrassed." Amethyst said nervously. "Would you like another pair of clothes to change in to since yours are still soaked?" I asked. "That would be great." She said still looking away. I got up to get a fresh pair of clothes but before I could Amethyst grabbed my hand. I turned around to see her shyly look up at me. "Thank you Arny." She said in a quiet voice staring in to my eyes. "Of course anything for you love" I said feeling my face turn a light shade of pink. A second later she let go of me and I instantly missed her touch. Then I turned around and left to grab her warm new clothes.
