Kaoru then puts my phone on the side and off the lights. I felt him getting comfortable by wrapping his arms around my body and pulling me closer. His right hand traced down to my thighs as he started to rub them.

"Mmmmm," I softly groan as I turned to face Kaoru as he held me really close to him. I felt Kaoru rubbing my back, so I put my hand around his neck and let myself comfortable. Soon, I felt a small kiss on my forehead and the two of us were soon asleep.

The next morning

I woke up the next morning at six, even though I slept late that night. I was still in Kaoru's arms. That is when I realized what happened last night when Kaoru and I cuddled. I smacked my blank face, though my cheeks were red.

I mean, I only met Kaoru yesterday and I am already starting to feel like how I felt before my dad died. As a 24-year-old, yes, I did have crushes and feelings like a normal girl. It feels weird how it's all coming back right now. That means...

I can't be having a crush on someone who I just met today, especially a skater! I did the same mistake in LA. This cannot be happening to me right now. Besides, I'm pretty sure I'm not even his type.

I slowly took Kaoru's hands off me as I plopped off his bed. I quickly put my shoes on and left the house to my house.

"Mama, I'm home!" I yell when I got to my house. My mama came running downstairs with a spatula in her hand.

"First of all, it is 6 am! You're brother and I was sleeping. It isn't a pleasant surprise. Second of all, where in world were you last night," Mama asks irritatedly.

"Gomen, I got a job overnight. So, I got to move in with them. I came to get my stuff," I said, shrugging.

"Woah, slow down! I have so many questions! Who are you living with? What is your job? Will you visit? Will yo-," I cut my mama off.

"I'm an assistant for a Calligrapher and I'll be living with him. Don't worry mama he is a really good man. I think he is pretty much the same age as me," I said.

"Him, huh? Same age," my mama teases. "All I hear is you're with your future husband." My face slightly turns red like before and I covered it.

"No way! You're blushing now too! You're recovering, stay with this man for as long as you want. Just don't forget your family," my mama says eagerly as she threw my suitcase at me.

"Mama, I just told you! We are just partners. Besides, I'm starting to get over my father's death like a normal person, not because some guy came into my life," I huffed.

"So, I won't be having a son-in-law soon?" She asks as she stares at me.

"Probably not!" I shrugged. Suddenly we heard a knock on the door. I went to open it to see it was Kaoru.

"Kaoru?" I ask in surprise.

"Carla, I visually perceived you leave my house. Gomen, if I'm being scarcely nosy. I just wanted to know where you were heading," Kaoru says, looking concerned."Did I make you too uncomfortable last night? You seemed to be genuinely comfy in my arms, so I let you stay."

"Well, my oh my!!" I heard my mama squeal. She smacks my head and smiles brightly. "Well, don't just stand there, invite him in!"

"R-Right. Come in," I said, giving him a path to the living room. He sat down on the sofa as I sat right next to him. Kaoru gazed at me with a soft smile until my mama interrupted him.

"Make some tea in the kitchen while I talk to this wonderful gentleman," Mama orders me. I nodded and bowed my head at Kaoru before going into the kitchen. I heard some muffles of Kaoru and my mama's conversation. I put the tea on the stove and started listening to their conversation.

"Dear, please tell me your name," Mama starts off.

"How impudent of me. I'm Kaoru Sakurayashiki. You have raised a sublime daughter, ma'am," Kaoru says with respect to my mama and my mama lets out a chuckle.

"So, how do you feel about my daughter. I know you guys just met yesterday, but I can feel you're bond is really strong already," mama says, smiling down.

"I would relish being veracious with you. I haven't felt like this with a girl in a very long time, especially this vigorous. I spoke with your son about her and I get that she is going through a lot. I can sense that she is something authentically different from what she is right now. Only if she showed me...my feelings would be revealed. I ken we met yesterday, but it sincerely is love at first sight," Kaoru explains.

I sat down, leaning against the wall as I heard his words. My eyes grew wider as my whole body started to warm up. I couldn't believe that Kaoru already feels like this about me. It's like God is too lazy for the process to go, so he just let the love started early.

"I'm glad you think of my daughter like this," my mama says at last. Kaoru looked up at my mama as he looked surprised by what she said.

"Pardon, ma'am. You are not apprehensive that your daughter is doted by someone she met a day ago?" He asks.

"You don't know how many boys like you have come up to me in LA and Canada. They were not really impressive in their speeches, and I could see right through them. I know you're feelings for Carla is real. I guarantee she will love you back," my mama says, smiling hard.

"She will?" Kaoru asks in surprise.

"Well, if you put the puzzle pieces together, you would understand. She only allows you to call her by her name. Her body isn't the pale color it always is, it's slightly pink now. Also, my daughter trusted you this quickly!" My mama says.
