Jason POV
Jason's phone rang before he could go chasing after the small Italian. "Hello?" Jason asked, "This is Jason Grace speaking."
"Jason, honey, where are you?" asked his mother from the other side of the phone.
"Sorry, Mom," Jason breathed, contemplating if he should tell her. So, Jason stretched the truth and said, "My friend hurt himself in the rain on accident, and so I bought him over here. Just to make sure he was ok and didn't have to go to the hospital. How's Dad?"
Lilly, Jason's mother laughed. "Haha, yea he's fine. Complaining how his business is going to fail without him there. He was just asking for you. Do you want to talk to him?"
Jason nodded, but then remembering he was on the phone, he breathed, "Yea."
"Hey, Jason," said a gruff voice on the other side. Zachariah; his father.
"Hey Dad," Jason smiled, he felt giddy, his father was alive, and from the sound of it, he was going to be ok.
"Jason, do you know a name by Nico Di Angelo?" Jason's dad asked tersely.
"Yes, he goes to my school, why?" Jason asked confused.
"I'll explain why," then even louder, "ONCE THE DOCTORS FIGURE OUT I'M FINE!!!!"
Jason laughed and then remembered he should go try to find Nico, "Dad, I need to go."
"Well, once see the Di Angelo kid again ask him over for dinner," Jason's father asked.
Leo had told Zachariah. It was because Zachariah knew that Leo and the doctors didn't have the right equation, so someone must have given it to them. Not to mention Leo wanted to give credit to the boy.
"See yea son," Jason's father smiled.
"See yea dad."
-
"Nico?" called Jason, as he entered Nico's run down, old Victorian house.
Once Jason had been following Nico after school, but had scattered once Jason heard yelling from inside the house. Now that Jason thinking about that time, he frowned. Was Nico being beat by his father? Jason felt guilty again all over again, they had just added onto Nico's pain.
Shaking his head, Jason looked around the house, all the lights were on, he looked down.
Muddy foot prints were on the ground; Nico's feet to be exact.
"Nico?" Jason called. He looked around, saw blood stains, some months, some days old, and ones that were from today. Jason fallowed those. Jason made his way slowly upstairs, and saw a light on in a room, while all the other lights were turned off.
"Nico?" Jason called out quietly. There was a shuffle in the other room; and Jason exploded into action. He ran over to the room and barged in. Freezing at the horror scene.
Blood.
Blood.
Blood.
i'm sooo mean. Sorry...not sorry.
