Sudden sounds of birds chirping made me slowly open my eyes and smile at the tree that protected me from the rain. "Goodmorning, tree," I greeted, thanking it for protecting me from the rain. I'm sure it needed it to help it stand strong.
A small breeze softly grazed my body as I stretched and took in my surroundings. I may not have a home, but this world is my home. I began my walk to the familiar water, mentally thanking the elderly lady who gave me soap, clothes, and food.
I usually give my food away since I am never hungry, but I'll nibble every once in a while. Once I heard the water stream, my face fastened. Soon my clothes were discarded before I leaped into the water and began washing my body.
It was so peaceful and getting to see nature as I cleaned my body relaxed me more. "Thank you for allowing me to clean myself," I said to the water while putting my clothes on. The only reply I received was the sound of streams entering the main part of the stream.
The sun suddenly shined on me made me smile more and look up. "And thank you for allowing me to see another day," I said to the sky. The elderly lady told me about God and gave me a book. I finished reading the story and I must say, I didn't agree with some of the things said but I do appreciate the things that this God has done for the world.
He did an amazing job creating every single human being and all of the land and seas. The sound of talking made me start my long walk. It amazes me how I can focus on sounds that other people cannot hear. I can hear ants trampling underneath me if I really focus on it.
Maybe I'm special and I completely love it. "Hello," I greeted to some children as they carry these backpacks on their back on their way out of the cafe. They all responded with a tired hi while drinking the caffeinated drinks.
"Awn, cheer up. I'm sure today might be a good day," I smiled, making them stop and turn towards me. "We have testing today," one of the young boys huffed. "It's okay. You're going to Ace it because I know you guys are smart. Here, this is for luck," I said plucking a flower from the cafe plants and gave it to him.
He let out a soft chuckle then sniffed the flower. "Thanks," he smiled, making me smile wider. "No problem," I replied, about to continue my long walk. His cell phone dinged, along with the rest of the small group.
"Yo, school cancelled. I guess today will be a good day," a girl chirped with the widest smile on her face. "I guess this flower is good luck. Thank you, miss," the boy smiled. "Just make sure to give back by planting the flower in good soil," I recommended then walked off.
Sweet little kids...
I softly hummed to myself as I walked the busy streets. I ended up in a library, allowing me to look for the one book that I've finished reading. I've been reading something called 'prayers' and started doing some of those.
They bring me some type of peace like meditation does. I took a couple of hours of reading and 'praying' then began my journey again. I've walked to a bus stop to get some rest, seeing men and women gather here to get onto the public transportation.
"Hello, I'm Malak," I said to a man while holding my hand out to him. He only looked at me then back to his phone. "Oh, am I bothering you?" I asked him, hearing him take a deep breath then turned his head to me.
"Why are you talking to me? I don't know you," he scoffed. "Don't be so mean to her," a woman defended but I only shook my head. "It's alright. Some people are not morning ready. I like waking up to nature," I smiled, playing with the knee of my pants.
The stranger let out a grumble while getting up. "If you're feeling so talkative, why don't you talk to her. I'm handling business right now," he snapped, making me jump and look at him. "I'm so-" I began to apologize.
"Just shut up. You women talk too much," he huffed. All the women looked at him, making him freeze and open his mouth to defend himself. "He didn't mean it. He's just a little grumpy that's all," I quickly said then stood up.
"You all have a nice day," I said then walked away. "Are you heading somewhere? I can pay for you," a sweet woman offered. "No thank you, my feet take me wherever I need to go," I smiled then continued my journey.
She was very persistent, but I politely declined it. As I continue to walk, I walked by a cute puppy and decided to pick him up. "Hey, little fella," I coo, seeing that he can only fit in the palm of my hand. "I will take care of you," I smiled, patting the top of his head with my finger.
"I'll name you... Diego."
